Please note that all of the chapters above have comprehensive subsections that are not listed here. I highly recommend this book as an avid reader.
For that purpose it is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't believe how cheap it was.
It is ideal if you want to know the very basics but beyond that it is not much use. If you've had any sort of formal training in sound engineering (Or then you'll probably know 99% of this stuff already (As I did) but as I said it is very useful for keeping sharp and refreshing your knowledge.
For a beginner this would be a godsend and I wish I'd have found it when I was first starting out!
All in all it's an incredibly good book and has left absolutely none of the basics out. Well worth the cash.
10 out of 10!
Reading this book will enable you to learn 3 things:
1) How sound equipment works
2) How to set up and operate it
3) The basics of electricity and sound physics.
If you master the information contained in this book you will be a very effective engineer.
