I would give it 5 stars because it is a really good read and full of useful information for my dissertation. However, I have found a lot of typo's in the text and for the amount of money I paid I would expect it to not have any at all. I would recommend it for anyone who is interested in sound on film.

This overview of sound in media would make a great gift for the film and media enthusiast in your life. Comprehensive and expensive, this book covers every aspect of the world of audio and sound studies. A bit stogy in the design department, it is a treasure trove of information and ideas. Could be a winter holiday present.
