It has taken me a few hours to calm down enough to write this review. If you haven’t read Lawless then you need to before you read this one. In fact read King and Tyrant as well because this series is just phenomenal and I promise you it’ll stay with you!

Thia and Bear have a journey to go through in this book but I can’t explain without giving anything away. There is so much that happens in this book and honestly every single word had me smiling, laughing, crying and at one point (you’ll know when you read it) screaming in happiness!

Rage. she has to get her own story. She is a typical TM characters, you never know exactly what to expect but you love them anyways.

‘Ragina!’ Hehe she’s just one of those characters you instantly love. Rage needs her own book please!

There are moments in this book, where you don’t know what is going on, who’s good, who’s bad, and who is just weird. Mrs Frazier definitely knocks this book out of the water, so so so so so much love for this book.

You get appearances from the gang, all of them in their own little way. Jake, Abby, King, Ray, and Preppy. Their involvement reminds me that there is no ‘normal’ family, it is what you make it. I can’t explain more without spoiling but I’m going to say, you need to read this book. You need to.

There’s so much that happens but the ending is perfect. Just perfect. I have no words that can properly explain my love for this story.

This is the conclusion to Bear and Thia's story from Lawless. This one had many revelations but it also has sadness, happiness and just some unexpectedness that will blow you away.

The cliffhanger we were left with at the end of Lawless saw Bear in prison and giving Thia another promise - this time to wait and trust him.

Thia return home to Jessep to be babysat by "Barbaric Barbie" - Rage, a hilarious fireball of fun. The thing is TM knows how to write intriguing side characters that bring a certain dimension to the story.

Meanwhile with Bear in prison he is plotting on how to take Chop down, with a little help from unexpected sources. So when he is released early Bear is focused on taking out his dad, former Prez and former MC, this isn't the only threat to Bear and Thia with others threats coming from closer to home than Bear could ever realise.

With everything Thia goes through she never waivers from wanting and needing to be with Bear in his life, heart and soul. She's a strong determined young woman who knows what she wants and how's to get it. Bear is the shirtless badass outlaw just trying to do what is right to protect what is his and for the first time in his life he's found that in Thia, his forever.

What Soulless shows us is that family isn't always the one you are born into, but the ones who surround you in time of need, would do anything for you no matter what - show you love and respect. I think that's why Bear and Thia have so much love for each other coming from broken families, they're trying to find a home with their own family, making them glad that they found each other.

Cannot not mention Preppy the crazy clean clothes bow tie wearing "ghost".

Well, where do I start? Bear and Thia. Yes! Good place. Okay. We all know what happened at the end of Lawless – the heart stopping, gut wrenching, soul destroying separation. But Bear had a plan. Of course he had a plan. He’s motherf*cking Bear!!

Their time apart was horrible. No angst, no Bear/Thia showdowns or throw downs!! ;) BUT. Silver lining here: WE MEET A NEW CHARACTER!! Her name is Rage. For purposes unknown (I hold out every hope we WILL find out what her deal is….) But, yes, Rage. I have a girl-crush on! She’s feisty, she holds nothing back and she’s freaking weird! We need nothing else from a King series character!

Of course, there’s a reunion. And downright filthy and totally lawless it was! I loved it! Goosebumps, tingles (everywhere….!) and maybe three rereads of the same scene. I have NO. SHAME.
TM Frazier has excelled in this series. Her talent, flawless writing, and stunning, plot twisting has me in complete awe. NEVER did I see that ending coming. It completely rounded off Bear and Thia’s story. And boy, do we ever get an insight into King series book number 5! I am so excited to see where TM is going to take us on the adventures of the gang that I’ve grown to love and continued to love with “appearances” from all characters – Jake, Abby, King, Ray, and, of course, Preppy.

I had to think long and hard before leaving this review because I have been a big fan of T M Frazier since "Dark Light of Day" and I loved the first two "King" books and it is due to this that I have rounded up my 2.5 stars to 3. This book just did not hit the spot for me in the same way that the others had. For starters, the English was not as fluent, almost every page had a mistake on it and I felt as if I was reading a first draft rather than the finished version. There were too many phonetic type mistakes, such as hear/here or track/tract, I wondered if the author had used some kind of speech to text programme, it became distracting.

Another issue for me was that I have become used to a fast paced story from Ms Frazier, "King" was action packed and the story moved along at an exciting pace with plenty of cleverly worked twists and turns that all tied up very nicely. I did not feel that this book did the same. It was slow in parts and the drama was lacking. "Lawless" had ended with an exciting excerpt from this book but we had to wait until about 75% of the way through before we got it and even then it was only really what we had read, and was disappointing. I felt the twists and turns were not as well plotted, made less sense and were rather clumsy. I did not really feel that Bear's mother made enough sense to the plot nor was interesting enough to carry such a pivotal role.

At one point this seemed to morph into a very mediocre MC style story, with all the usual cliches about brothers (who didn't seem to have any loyalty for much of the two books) and Thia being an "Old Lady". This was very disappointing as there are better MC novels and what I have liked about Ms Frazier's writing is that it was different from such stylised genres.
