This unique playlist carries on the Real Side tradition of blending new recordings with classic seventies dance tracks and obscurities. The playlist features Real Side artist Roy Hemmings with the 2006 in-house production Born To Break My Heart which Roy took to the No.1 slot on the Carolina Beach Music Chart. We also include Real Side friends Walter Thomas with his sublime So Long, Lonne Givens laid-back groove Dreams, Angel with his Real Side hit Break Out The Tears and album cut Why Me? plus Jesse Gomez with both sides of his 1981 Mankind LA dancer Lace / Baby Im Coming At You. The latter has been re-edited exclusively for Outta Sight and makes its CD debut here. In true Real Side spirit we feature 70s anthems courtesy of Phyllis Hyman, Patterson Twins and Friends Of Distinction; collectors choices care of Oscar Perry, Na Allen and Charlie Cole Black Brown; contemporary cuts from the infamous Cuban Brothers with their dance floor workout Aint No Need and Craig Charles favourite Robbin Hood by Extra Curricular. The Playlist continues!!!

Since there have been fewer soul compilations released in 2014 this cd comes at just the right time. As with vol 1 it has just the right balance between northern and modern soul from the late sixties and early seventies through to the present day. However unlike vol 1 this cd only has 1 track from the Realside DJ copies 2008-2010 CDs which is the fantastic Roy Hemmings Born to break my heart, which should be in any soul collection. There are also one or two tracks which are on other collections such as Phyllis Hyman and Ester Phillips. Plus you will find three modern tracks which I have no doubt will divide the soul community on popularity. These tracks are the Cuban brothers, Angel and Extra Curricular. A quick look on you tube will give you an idea if you like them or not. The rest of the 20 tracks are pure quality soul music which I will listen to again and again. Therefore this is another great cd from The Real Side and Outta Sight, which I can definitely recommend.

Got the first S.O.R.T.S vol 1 CD and enjoyed it immensely, this was purchased for my birthday and this is another good CD - some of these I have purchased on vinyl - Born To Break My Heart - Roy G Hemmings - great sound, grazin in the grass by friends of distinction and one of my favourites Prayin by Harold Melvin @ The Blue notes (you just got to dance to this) - overall a good CD and recommended.
