This was easily my favourite rock album of 1991 which I purchased on vinyl. There isn`t one bad track, with my personal favourite being `Sin Against The Light`, which is a stormer. The whole band are superb, Ricky Warwick on vocals...what a voice, but I must give a special mention to Stumpy Monroe for his brilliant drumming.
The only thing is, I can`t believe that it took me so long to get around to buying it on CD.
If your into rock....Buy it now!!!!!!!!!

The days of British Metal were coming to a close. My denim and leather were about to be hung up in the wardrobe for ever. The 1990's had arrived and with it lycra and big hair. Rock Bands they may have been but there was no way I was going to fit my beer gut into tight pants and cover my long greasy hair with hair spray.
The Americans had arrived and British Metal was dead. Or was it! I was standing at the back of a club, snakebite in hand, when a Bank called The Almighty appeared on stage. They started their first number "Crucify" and before I knew it I was giving it large next to the stage.
There set contained much of this album and it Rocked. Their gutsy, grity no nonsense style is no different on the album. I bought it 10 years ago and still get the urge to play air guitar. My neighbours are pretty familure with the tracks too.
A must for your record collection.

Absolutely brilliant band , saw them many times and find it strange they weren't bigger, this album is rock from beginning to end , from crucify to the more commercial free and easy (for proper aggression listen to crank) this is a brilliant album from a great band ,

I think that practically every guy has listened to metal at some point in their lives, usually as a teenager. That's certainly true for myself, and The Almighty - a British band - were one of my favourite bands at the time. This album is probably the best example of their music - heavy metal as it used to be. If you're into metal, and you've never yet heard this album then I'd absolutely recommend checking it out. You shouldn't be disappointed!

The Almighty's debut album Blood, Fire & Love was a fine release, but with Soul Destruction they moved up a division. Not a bad song in sight, and a couple of all time classics in Bandaged Knees and Little Lost Sometimes make this an essential purchase. I still have happy memories of seeing them at Preston Guild Hall, many, many years ago and have lost count of how many times I have bought this album on various formats. Unfortunately, it was all downhill after this, Pete Friesen came in for Tantrum, melody went out of the window, the guitars were down tuned and Ricky Warwick embarked on a quest to turn the group into a punk band. Shame.
