Got this second-hand from Amazon, for 80 quid. It comes with Android Honeycomb but Sony will prompt you to update this to ICS. The tablet by default has a system partition with ~2GB free, and a separate internal storage confusingly called 'usb storage' and located in '\mnt\sdcard\' with ~7.5GB free. There's an external full-size SD card slot which will also take an SD adapter for microSD. If an external card is present, it gets called 'external storage' and is found in '/mnt/sdcard2'.

The microUSB port seems sturdy and if you connect OTG with any adapter (you don't have to use sony's adapter) FAT flash disks are automatically recognised. If you want external hard drive support, you'll need an external power source and possibly root to support NTFS. The port is meant to be able to supply 500mA but it can't power a portable HD, though it can charge my SEXperia Pro...

I disabled the Walkman app as it tries to start playing music as soon as you plug in headphones and may interfere with the mic (not good if you want to use Skype, etc). The built-in stereo speakers are surprisingly decent, especially if you place the tablet on a flat hard surface and you don't cover them with your hands. A tad tinselly if you listen closely, but the the slightly understated bass is honestly a relief after the recent sadomasochistic craze over rubbish like 'beats by dr dre'. The stereo effect really is nice though - I never a small device could sound so different from a mono speaker.

I personally rooted and installed ICS (lots of support on xda-dev forums for this model). I also got Linux (Debian for arch=armhf) installed alongside ICS ('directory' method rather than 'loop' or virtual disk file, to make use of the tablet's pre-configured ext4 filesystem) which is awesome.
