have being a ps3 sceptic for quite a while i decided to buy this bundle because i loved the gran turismo series from the ps2 days.the ps3 itself is topnotch it comes with a 320gb hard drive which is perfect for me although i dont see myself filling that up anytime soon..havent really got into gran turismo yet but from what i played so far it has brought me back to the ps2 days. the driving and graphics is impressive although the graphics is not that more impressive than forza :P. but the driving physics is were this excel forza in every single way. forza felt like an arcade game not actual a driving sim but was fun none the less.the only thing ive done so far are some of the A spec license and a few races in arcade mode. ill update on the game when i spend more time with it. But as for the bundle i would say go for it their aint nothing wrong with treating yourself sometime. this is gonna sit nicely next to my 360...

Very happy when i recieved this. After weeks of waiting for it to be released, i was thinking it would never come but it did and as i pre ordered it, i saved £15 off too. I have not played the game yet as it is a gift for christmas but im sure my partner will be more than pleased when ho opens it up.

This has got to be the best ps3 bundle out there as it has got the collectors edition gt5 which is usually around £60 so you will save loads buying the game and console together.

Great price for 2 brilliant items.PS3 is a brilliant console. IN MY OPINION, the Xbox is a much better console and was designed around online gaming. This just seems to have had the online option thrown in in the last stages of development. However, I do actually prefer the PS3 as I am more of a single player gamer, and only really go online every now and then.
So 4/5 for the console.
As for GT5, it is a truly brilliant racing simulator, the detail in everything is amazing. And with updates rolling out every now and then, you can tell that the developers are listening to the fans and doing what they want with the game. However, as a game, it's not brilliant. There's no story, or reason to complete this game, just a case of seeing how much you can collect for no real reason.
I also don't think that you get much else out of the Collector's Edition. A few nice pictures which are good to look at, and then just go back in the case. The extra in-game cars are nice, but not really worth the extra compared to the normal version. And the Apex manual-type thing is a brilliant little book, but much like the postcards, nothing really special that would have inspired me to buy the special edition.
So 3/5 for GT5 (as a game) and 5/5 for GT5 (as a racing simulator).

All in all: A brilliant console, with an excellent game, for a decent price. So well worth it. :)

I have played all the gran tourismo games this one has superb graphics, however I find the screen layout to complex and some of the tests ridiculously hard. With a game like this there needs to be a logical progression through the difficulty levels which can only be accomplished if the right cars become available. I think GT 3 accomplished this better. The sony PS3 console is super very hard to find any fault.

Finally got a ps3 after waiting for GT5 to come out. (First one didn't work, but Amazon sorted this very quickly) Great fun, amazing graphics and a blu ray player. Excellent, if a little pricey.

This game is really fun once you get into it but it does take some time to get going, which isn't great when you just want to have a quick 5 minute race.

The product works perfectly, no claim whatsoever.

I have had several XBOX 360 consoles as well as a PS3 some time ago which I sold due to lack of use. The two 360's both went wrong with RROD and I therefore decided that I would go back to Sony.
I noticed this combo pack with the PS3 320 gb including Gran Turismo 5 Collectors Edition and had to buy it! I looked around for some time before deciding to make the purchase from Play, as they had the deal for £274.99 which was as cheap as I could find it.
The console itself is as you would expect really. It has a HUGE hard drive that I could never fill in a million years but this deal was cheaper then buying the smaller hard drive console and game seperately. It also plays Blu Ray disks which is a big bonus over the XBOX. Going online is free compared to the £30-40 you pay Microsoft for 1 years Gold membership and to be honest, there is not much difference between the two and I would give the console a 5 star rating.
The game has been critiscised by many people due to loading times, similar to previous game etc etc....
I completed the initial install which did take some time (nearly an hour) but this is down to the size of the game. It doesn't have to be done but shortens the load times considerably and as such you don't have to wait for long once your up and running.
I have not played a GT game since GT2 many years ago and I am really pleased with this. There are SO many cars to buy/unlock and many different avents to keep you entertained. Not all of the vehicles are "Premium" models witha cockpit style view however, there is very little in it and IMO they all look very good.
I have been playing for around a week now and have tons of quality cars as well as a huge amount of cash. You do start with a crappy car and have to earn the rest!
