I am not a very technical person so i am just going to write my experience as i found it.

One word LOUD.

Omg this is overkill on a major scale for a normal house but boy oh boy is it awesome.

I wanted to clarify 2 things before i carry on, this system does have a cd player and an am/fm radio. This is nowhere in the product description so i thought i would make that clear in the beginning. I was surprised and pleased by this as i thought it was just a bluetooth system.

Soo this is heavy, the box weighed a ton, i could barely pick it up, i had to in fact move in along the floor by rolling it one side at a time.

You get the stereo, 2 speaks, a subwoofer, remote control, batteries included.

Connecting the unit is simple, a few cables which are clearly labelled and the subwoofer jack.

Word of advice do not put the subwoofer on a wall unit or near a wall, put it on the floor at least 6 inches from the wall, otherwise the sound is going to travel up your walls and at this power could in fact crack them not to mention bounce picture frames off the wall, which by the way has happened to me in the past.

Right then.

All my music steadily over the years has congregated on my laptop, this was not by choice, but by convenience of itunes and downloading, i have never had a bluetooth system before so i have nothing to compare it too.

I had got an old ipod classic which i keep all my music on and so this was a new experience for me, however this unit is awesome because i can plug my ipod classic straight into the usb port and all my music just plays from there.

Not being very tech savvy i was quite daunted by this, however it really could not of been anymore simple.

An impressively large box arrived in which were four black units that looked as if a stealth fighter designer had helped shape the individual designs judging by the use of angles and multi faceted sides. Quite attractive and raised a 'wow' from an early teen audience. The main control box is joined by two speakers and a sub-woofer , two aerials ( one for FM and one for AM) and a remote control.

Connecting the speakers and subwoofer to the control unit is very easy as they all have bespoke connectors designed to fit the relevant sockets. The same applies to the aerials.

The sound system (700w of power and boy does it sound like it at even medium volume!) had decent sound quality at all levels and allows Bluetooth access from suitable devices e.g. IPhones, iPads. Activate the 'Mega Bass' and you certainly can feel the difference, much to the joy of our daughter.

The system has a CD player, a USB socket, . 3.5mm socket and AM/FM radio although our radio reception was not that great. Nowadays, if you have Bluetooth, most smartphones/ Tablets have apps that give you worldwide radio access and that was our preferred source for radio.

Essential to get the best of this system is the downloading of the Sony SongPal app which we tested successfully on iPhones and iPads. It allows you to access all the basic control functions using your iPhone and in addition gives access to EQ settings including changing basic music settings e.g. from Pop to Jazz to Electronica etc. The app works well and again was universally popular with the teens and older users.

Main issue that we found with the whole system is that the cables are not very long. All speaker cables are hard wired into the speakers and not removable.

it could have been 5 stars but......

No DAB radio in 2015 ?

They are playing games with you about the power / wattage of this system

for 700 watts you would expect thumping great heat sinks on the power output transistors at the back,
not a heat sink in sight.

When I was a lad ( yes, all those years ago ) power output was always in RMS.

Then some sly salesman realised that if quoted in "peak to peak" terms you could
multiply the output by 2.8 times over RMS to make it sound much more powerful.

This 700 watt machine is almost certainly 250 watts, RMS or 125 per channel.

Having said all that, it is very loud and it does look like a stealth bomber ?

Worth the money, shame about the hype

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This home audio system is, in a word, slick. A thing of beauty, fully boxed it comes in at around 25kg according to the delivery note. It's pretty easy to connect it all together. The downside is that the mains cable isn't that long, so without an extension lead it's difficult to place it too far from it. But that's a very small concern, put against how impressive its design and output is, and its intuitive design.

The system comprises a two speakers, a subwoofer and the control unit. The control unit also houses a CD drive, which plays normal audio CDs as well as MP3 CDs. There is also an aerial attachment for radio, and a remote control (batteries included). If left inactive a while, the machine also automatically switches off.

Its best connectivity feature is the bluetooth: I hook it up to my laptop which lets me play pretty much anything I want that crosses my soundcard. Connected to a projector on one side and speakers on the other, it's almost a home cinema right there. Although its designed with Apple devices in mind (which I worried about, since I don't have any Apple devices), the bluetooth function takes care of everything else.

The sound clarity and performance is exceptional, although I find the subwoofer too much (don't want to disturb the neighbours) so I don't use it day-to-day, although I can see taking it out for special occasions.

Having this has also breathed new life into my (enormous) CD collection (sadly left by the wayside this many a year, since digital downloading's made it practically redundant), and rediscovering old CDs over again has been an experience by itself. (Now if there were a couple of tape decks, THAT would've been absolutely perfect...)
