I just can't put this game down, no matter how many times I die, I still keep hitting that restart from last check point button. The graphics and controls are superb, the range of weapons, vehicles and maps keep it all fresh and unexpected, also it's one of the few games I'm determined to finish (I'm about 60% through at the mo). I've never written a review before, which if nothing else will tell you how much I like and would recommend this game. Roll on Killzone Lib 2.

I am not usually into 3rd person (or 1st person - for that matter) shooters, but I've found this game very addictive. The isometric 3rd person graphics are unique and very good, giving you a good overview of your situation. The AI of your enemies is also very good, and you also have fellow soldiers who are under your command in the game - which is also a very good aspect of the game. You will die a lot!! But you'll just keep restarting just to try another approach at the level, this game is about trial and error. You will need to judge your environment/ terrain as well as which weapon will do the job. Just running out guns blazing is suicide in this game. The checkpoints on the level mean the restarting is not too painful (however you can only save your progression through levels, not the level's checkpoints - which strangely and quite slyly keeps you playing, so you don't waste your efforts on that particular level). Completing the missions is very satisfying as you get to see cut scenes which take you deeper into the story. The storyline, although simple is interesting enough to tempt you into trying a few more times to get through the levels. This game is a "must" purchase for any PSP owner.

I've just finished this game and have enjoyed it immensely. There is plenty of replay value to be had with challenge games & finding hidden briefcases during the main levels (which upgrade your weapons). One thing that impressed me was the Havok rag-doll physics that affects the Helgast when they get blown up! With the promise of new levels to download and Internet play, I think I'll be playing this one for a while.

Special mention must go to the co-op mode; so much fun hours will disappear!

I heartily recommend this game.

I never heard of Kill Zone before I bought this game. I went to see Borat at the cinema and there was an advert for a game, I thought that looks brill, and then it said it was for the PSP !

I have no preconceptions about Killzone, but I think the PSP is one of the best gadgets ever, and when I put this game on watched the intro, I was blown away.

Overall the graphics look brilliant, beautiful colours, and although they are smaill, the level of detail is superb. I don't often play games very much but this has me hooked. The game play once you get into it is very good, again the sounds espcially the back ground noise makes the game very atmospheric.

I showed it to my mates at work who are all Sony PS2, PSP fans and they were all impressed.

I am glad its not a first person shooter, as I am fed up with these, and I like aerial view of the game, with the isometric 3 D. It makes a very refreshing change.

It reminds me of metal gear solid, but only a little. A thoroughly great game, and when they only want 30 quid for it a real bargain.

First person shooters rarley work on PSP. Using the 4 symbol buttons instead of a second analogue stick feels clumsy. So it's a good thing developers Guerrilla have seen the sense in morphing their ace first person shooter into a tactical third person shooter. The game is viewed from a top-down perspective similar to that of the original Metal Gear Solid game (which, for Guerrilla, was a key influence when making Liberation). This game is a lot more tactical than it's PS2 predecessor. You have to use cover a lot and only fire at the enemy when they poke up from cover. There are some enemies which make using tactics tricky, like the self destructing spider bots or the ferocious Helghan attack dogs. There are some interesting weapons like an exploding dart firing crossbow or the flamethrower. To be brutally honest though it makes the most sense to stick with the rifle you start the game with as it has good range and firepower. Still, it can't hurt to experiment. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating when you can die every 3 seconds in the later levels. Still, this is a superb game that's well suited to handheld play. This should keep you going until Killzone 2 on PS3.

I love my PSP - it's an amzaing gadget but I do steer clear of this kind of game. I'd sooner stick to the PS2 or PC. However, whilst in Virgin having a browse this little beauty was on in the 'play zone'. After only minutes trying to work out the controls I was already putting the game in my basket. Visually I was very surprised, the controls are great (apart from the thumb ache, show me a PSP that doesn't cause it) and the gameplay is fantastic. It's not the longest game in the world but for £[...] it's enough to keep you busy. It's got a great storyline, and the maps are enough to keep yr interest.

I discovered this game by pure accident and I hope a sequel is in the pipeline as if it was anything like this i wouldn't even thing about buying it.

4 stars, it's not the best game i've played but it's an essential purchase espcially if you like playing with soilders.....hey i'm 33 and it works for me.
