Superb replacement for my ageing NEX camera.

Superb replacement for my ageing NEX camera.
Wow; what a fantastic camera!I purchased this Sony A6300 to replace an ageing Sony NEX5R; and the difference in use is totally night and day. Its a shame it doesn't have a touch screen like the NEX5R and that the screen won't tilt for selfies. The EVF is also way too sensitive and keeps shutting off the screen which is so annoying - you have to extend it all the way out. Its also significantly bigger than my NEX (substantially!) ... but I'm happy to put those negatives aside for the increase in speed, AF and resolution. Best of all, at £625 and £200 cash back, compared to the new A6400, its nearly half price! I still think its expensive, but if you want one of the best DSLR's on the market, the Sony A series brand is the way to go.Finally, to all those weighing up the A6000 or the A6300 (as I did for 3 days!!!), I'd say the A6300 is definitely worth the extra money. I'd love the A6500 but thats silly money so Im happy with my purchase; but I think had I have gone with the A6000 to save £100 or so, I would have regretted it very quickly.NB quality is excellent - just take a look at the photo taken with the stock 55-210mm lens ... awesome!!!

I'll preface this by saying that I got the camera for a ludicrous price - £425 after a £200 cashback from Sony. However I do believe that this camera is still a good purchase even for it's RRP. I myself am not the most competent photographer with this being my first proper camera, but this allows me to take some stunning shots and I can always rely on this piece of kit to have me walk away from a photo opportunity happy. I do strongly recommend that you invest time into learning the basics on how a camera works and how to operate one outside of its auto modes to achieve full potential but this also works as a brilliant point-and-shoot for quick snaps. I picked this up to allow myself to expand more into astrophotography and the camera handles those types of shots admirably, even in my inexperienced hands and only with the kit lens. It's a great size, incredibly portable (able to fit in a coat pocket), sturdy and well built. My only complaint would be that the battery life isn't amazing, as expected for a mirrorless - though the thing that bugs me the most is it seems to drain very quickly even when the camera is off, so I'd recommend picking up a spare battery or two.

The camera shoots high quality for the money. 4k 100 MP and the footage looks super smooth. It also takes great photos and the included lense is a good beginner, all around lense for photo and video.

5.0 out of 5 stars La mejor mirrorless del mercado

5.0 out of 5 stars Cámara maravillosa, aunque depende de para qué la uses
Reviewed in Spain on 24 July 2017
Style Name: With Power Zoom LensVerified Purchase

Si no queremos sobrecalentamientos, mejor utilizar videocámaras.
