SOA has been a fantastic series, not least because of it's great soundtrack and sensitive use of songs old & new. The music always seems to match the mood precisely. Tracks like John the Revelater, which closed series 1, and the title song This Life really conjure up the dust, dirt & spit of biker life. Ideal for a long, dusty drive along the highway.

I love this Cd I have played it every day since recieving it, it is one of the best I have heard in a long while, I love the programme and watch it over and over. Would recommend buying both the Cd and the Dvd box set.

I was hoping for a soundtrack after hearing the fantastic cover version of Neil Youngs' Hey Hey, My My at the end of series 3 and I was thrilled when I seen this and ordered it straight away.

As always in soundtracks you get a couple of weak tracks that would have been better left out but on the whole its fantastic, the cover versions are excellent, my favourites are John The Revelator, Gimme Shelter and Hey Hey, My My. Katy Sagals Son of a Preacher Man is great too. Well mixed, full of passion and soul!

Ah, Dusty and her Son of a Preacher Man - but wait: that's not Dusty, that's old Ma Teller herself at the mic. A fantastic selection of evocative songs in a massive range of styles that get you reaching for the DVD to identify where each was used. You'll never want to hear The Times They Are a Changin' in English again. Superb from start to finish. Okay, you have t be in a special mood for Bobby's variation on House of the Rising Sun, but if you love the series the context will carry you through it.

Almost as good as the series itself. Wonderful new and 'renewed' oldies all in a country/rock type style. I particularly like Audra Mae's version of Dylan's "Forever Young'. I's been given an whole new lease of life.

Love all of the four CDs available. About 56 songs that of comprise of covers and originals by a range of singers and musicians, a few famous, some cast members and many unknown that I've now been introduced to. So worth listening to. A lot of work went into putting all of this together and I absolutely love these albums.

I don't know how they managed to pick these from all the songs used in the series. No doubt Kurt has his reasons. But it's a superb mix of tracks. Well done.
Suitable mood music for all occasions, we had it as background to Christmas dinner. Fabulous.

I love the SOA series and look forward to getting the fourth series. When I discovered this I thought great I could listen to some of the songs that I have really liked. Well I was a little disappointed by the selection. Nothing from the SOA in Eire and the omission of the Ruby Tuesday cover was also disappointing as this version was really good. However the Hey Hey My My and Girl from the North Country songs were played a few times.

Would I recommend this to someone, possibly not, only because it's half a collection and some of the music on SOA (even when not covers if that's the case with the Sons in Eire) was very interesting and being a musician I would have sought out some of the bands featured, which can only be a good thing.
