I am a big fan of documentaries and enjoy watching the commitment and hard work that's required in jobs like this. Saying that, this is the first time i have sat through such a programme and not rooted for ANY of the participants in the show.I really didn't care one way or the other whether they passed, it was all about the process, which is very unusual for me. I'm not sure whether the documentary maker deliberately chose clips where they were being annoying, braying and/or uninteresting or if they really are like that, but it has made me look at sommeliers diifferently: I respect what they do and have been through, but I have no interest in talking to any of them...

Not even a wine drinker, but this was a really interesting and entertaining documentary to watch. For wine buffs it's pretty much essential viewing.

Interesting to see the obsessional nature of the wine devotees. The director manages to mock the sommeliers; seemingly without them knowing.

This is an enjoyable film. If, like me, you have done some wine exams, you will appreciate the hard work that goes into preparing for them.
