Debbie Macomber's SOMEDAY SOON, which is the prequel to SOONER OR LATER is a wonderful contemporary about a young widow, Linette Collins, who becomes involved with the head of a mercenary group, Cain McClellan. She's reluctant to love and lose again, and Cain, well he's never even CONSIDERED having a "permanent" woman. But, his days of reckless abandon are numbered when he falls in love with Linette--much to the chagrin of his mercenary buddies--and almost loses her to international terorists. buddies.

A great read but make sure you read this one first!! I made a mistake and read them in the wrong order . Problem then was I knew a little bit to much about the characters and what happened to them .

Im a fan of Debbie Macomber but I thought this book was better than others previously - the usual love story ws there but the mystery gave this book an enjoyable twist and that bit extra for the reader to get into. Would certainly recommend.

Really enjoyed this book. It is in the usual strain of Debbie Macomber stories, but she always manages to add twist and turns which you are not expecting. Will look out for the other books in this series and hope they all come up to this high standard.

This book was a diversion from the usual Debbie Macomber storyline but what a great one. Cain & Tim are mercenaries who love their jobs & have no time for anything else in their lives, particularly any long term relationships let alone marriage. When Tim is injured on a mission Cain refuses to leave him to die and carries him to safety. A long road to recovery stretches ahead and is not without it's problems, the most of these being his physiotherapist, Francine with whom he locks horns daily. Meanwhile Cain is fighting his own devils in trying to steer his thoughts away from Linette, but will he be successful?
A fantastic book with a twist which will keep you reading long into the night. Hopefully Debbie Macomber has more like this up her sleeve.

This is not what I expected as I have read many of Debbie Macomber books so it was different from her usual gentle relaxing stories. It took me a little while to realise how different to her usual book it was. I did enjoy it but prefer her gentler novels.
