An unexpected main character....
on 18 December 2012
This is short, but worth it.
After the first chapter, in which someone mentions Solomon, the reader is then introduced to him.
Solomon's part is written from his point of view, as if he is feeling, smelling and sensing things as they happen. Stick with it, because it might take a page or two to get the gist of it or of Solomon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the mixture of the unexpected main character, the dark side of life from his point of view and his own particular sense of morality.
Stark has managed to create an unusual perspective and portray it realistically without veering into the improbable. I must admit I am enjoying his particular brand of yarn spinning.
