This is short, but worth it.
After the first chapter, in which someone mentions Solomon, the reader is then introduced to him.
Solomon's part is written from his point of view, as if he is feeling, smelling and sensing things as they happen. Stick with it, because it might take a page or two to get the gist of it or of Solomon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the mixture of the unexpected main character, the dark side of life from his point of view and his own particular sense of morality.
Stark has managed to create an unusual perspective and portray it realistically without veering into the improbable. I must admit I am enjoying his particular brand of yarn spinning.

I loved every line of this beautifully written, short book. Turn the lights down, curl up on the sofa and prepare to lose yourself in Solomon's world. A little story ... but such a deliciously chilling one!

What a great book it gave me a whole new perspective on life, a thouroughly good read. Never read any of Michael Stark's books before but will be looking out for him now.

Held me bound in anticipated fear! A very different viewpoint of the narrator in this, for me, Stephen King-like story.
