When I was approached to read the latest one in this series, Devious Intention, as an Advanced Review Copy, I decided to start right from the beginning of the series having already bought Sole Intention and Grave Intention a while back on Amazon.

The story starts with a girl running through the woods, trying to escape her abductor, following this a phone call to Ellen and Brian, two ex police officers who have set up their own PI business, the Worcester Missing Persons Hotline, from a man reporting his wife missing, but, as it soon becomes clear, she is not the only one. The duo are in a race against time to find these women and their perpetrator before its too late.

This book draws you in right from the epilogue and keeps you hooked to the very last page. I love the two main characters and look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I really enjoyed this book,I liked the main characters, and the pace of the book.I used to live in Worcester so I had an added bonus of knowing some of the places mentioned, I even used to live in Wylds Lane in Worcester many years ago, one of the places mentioned.I think this first book sets the scene very well and I look forward to seeing the characters and relationships develop, and more crimes to solve too, another great series to follow.

As with Grave Intention the book is OK, but not to my taste.

I have not put this book down since I started it, it's a brilliant story and the characters in it are very enjoyable. It's a fantastic crime story with a lot of attention to detail.

Ellen Brazil and Brian Lynx are two ex cops who have started their own missing persons agency. When they begin looking into the disappearance of a local woman they discover that this may just be the tip of the iceberg. Over the last 6 months several women all bearing an uncanny resemblance to each other have gone missing in the local area. Can this be coincidence or do they have a serial abductor on their hands?

I loved the whole Lorne Simkins series by Mel Comley so was really excited to find that she had released a new book. Within around 10 mins I had downloaded and started to read. This is a great story which moves at a breakneck pace. What really sets it apart though is the author's typical characterisation. From practically the first page we get an insight into the personalities of both Brian and Ellen. Although in this book Ellen is the stand out character, I imagine that if this develops into a series we will learn more about Brian's background. I love the way Ellen's family are woven into the story, the situation with her mother is almost as interesting as the main plot.
I couldn't put this book down and sincerely hope that Mel has more stories planned around these characters.

I have read many of Mel Comley's books and LOVED them, I heard that she has a new one coming soon in this series so I jumped at the chance to read this and the other one GRAVE INTENTION ( which I'm reading next) ... I loved this Ellen and Brian make a great time and I loved how the story unfolded, I'm hoping that ill get more on Ellen's back ground ( I don't like the sound of her step father ) and I feel there is stuff not being told...... I'm going to jump right in on book2.... Very happy fan EVERY book of Mel's books I've read has been a pleasure and I'm NEVER disappointed can't wait for more.....

I remember bumping into this author when I first got a Kindle for Christmas some three years ago now. I didn't know anything about daily free books until someone told me that on Amazon there is a forum especially for Kindles and questions and people add links to daily offers of free downloads.

This is where I came upon Mel's first ever book I read. I then discovered an author page on there where authors would promote their books, I got to speak to her and a few others that I am still in contact with even now, but this time, via Facebook and my friends Facebook for authors page [2 friends promote with authors]

This book was on net galley where M.A. Comley was asking for people to read and review her book, well, when I saw it, I jumped at the chance.

This book starts off with a woman running, she is escaping someone or something. She falls, he catches up with her.

Meanwhile her husband has reported his wife missing. First of all it looks like an unhappy wife running away, but then other things spring to light. This is no usual case, there is more sinister motives that become uncovered as time reveals.

This book had be entertained this afternoon whilst having to have my painkillers, feet up, shoulder in a sling, it took me away into a painless zone all mapped out from this superb story telling of M.A. Comley,

If you haven't read any of her books, may I urge you to do so.

Thank you M.A. Comley for allowing me to read and give my honest opinion on your writing.
