I have read every one of ROSIE' s books and this one certainly didn't disappoint it had me captured from the first page. So much so that I read it in less than a week. Another brilliant book from Mavis HUTT. NUNEATON.

This is the first time I have read a Rosie Goodwin book, I found it captivating, grabbing my attention straight away and holding it right through to the last page, one of those "sorry to finish books". As I say my first Rosie Goodwin certainly not my last.

I have to say I have read many books, but, I have to say this is the best book I have ever read. I was so engrossed from start to finish. I only wish the story went on forever as I didn't want it to end.

I love Rosie Goodwin and have read all of her books. The soldiers Daughter is a great read and I enjoyed it immensely as I do with all Rosie's books. As I live in the town where most of Rosie's books are set, Nuneaton, Rosie has brought to life the town and surrounding areas in different eras for me and I can picture the places as they were. It is fun when driving down a street Rosie's character lives in to imaging which house Rosie has placed her characters. I would highly recommend Rosie Goodwin and urge anyone who hasn't read them already to read in particular "A Rose Among Thorns" " The Ribbon Weaver" and her newest novel "The Mill Girl" Historical Nuneaton Fiction at Rosie's very best.

Well this is one book I didn't want to end. at all
I enjoyed this Book so much .it had so much going
on in it from beginning to end. Glad all went well for
Briony and her sister and brother.Alice and Sarah. and
was lovely to know young Mabel was able to stay on
with the Family. and lovely that her Father turned up
at the end of the war. Glad that Briony got what she
deserved after all her hard work she put in .and she
was able to get the inheritance that was more rightly
HERS after that Horrible Sebastian Got what was commuting to him .after he was such a selfish spoilt
and yellow coward. that he became .he got his total
come uplands in the end for all his selfish ways
Glad Mabel went for help and got the family to help
Briony and Alice and Sarah get out of the FIre alive
she was a good little Heroine. saved the day. it was
so good lots of action in it from beginning to end.
