This is the best book I have found full of interesting pictures, and well written for the younger person to enjoy. My child is 10 and has loved space and the stars. She really enjoyed reading this book, and this is on her birthday list to have for her book shelf. Definite best buy space book for young readers.

HASH(0x8f29e840) out of 5 stars Excellent Read for Kids (and adults, too, for that matter)! 11 Jun. 2013

Just bought this book on my Kindle for my 9-yr old son to read while waiting at the dentist's office for our turn. By the time I was out of the dentist's chair, my son had already read the book and went on and on about the planets in our solar system. While it was his turn to get his teeth worked on, I ended up reading the book myself. Figured I needed to as he'll probably want to talk about some planets in the car on our way home and I'll need to know how to answer his questions! (Story of my life.)

Great book with vivid photos.

I know a lot about space, having studied astronomy in college. This book is right on the money with accurate information presented in a well organized manner. Good job.

HASH(0x9036c1f8) out of 5 stars Inaccurate 22 Jan. 2014

I intended to use this as a resource for a lesson I am going to teach the third grade classes in which I volunteer. As I made notes on the information contained I noticed several contradictory points and grammar problems. Upon further research from other sources I had to lay this book aside completely as it just is not accurate enough for me to use.

I decided to put technology on my side when introducing the solar system lesson to my children. Rather than picking up a typical book, I downloaded the Kindle version for my iPad. As I read it to them, I came across several grammatical errors and some contradicting text. A simple proofreading prior to publication would've certainly been the way to go.
