These 30 LED star lights span out across the 650cm power cable at 14cm apart on average, the LED lights are not a super bright light but bright enough, an you have the choice of two settings from the LED lights being static or you can set them to flash and they flash at a rate of around twice every second so a fast flashing light display
The size of the removable star covers are as follows, in their maximum width they are 4.4cm, and in their maximum length they are 4.3cm, and in their depth they are 0.9cm, so as you can see they are of a nice good size and do look beautiful when they are a light with the LEDs.
At the end of the Star string lights you have the solar charging panel and control box, which is one unit and on the back of the box you have one button, that controls the LED star lights press it once and the lights come on in static mode, press it a second time the LED lights are in flashing mode, and press it a third time they LED lights are turned off, the button is very easy to press in and is covered in silicone.
The solar charging panel on the box has the following size, in width it is 5cm, and in it length it is 4.9cm, so it’s a good sized solar panel, but the whole control box has a size of 7.1cm in width and 7.1cm in its length.
At the bottom of the box on the back you have a slot to connect the supplied mount stake, the mount can be angled at the top via its adjustable head, which has an adjustable locking bolt so you can set the solar panel at an angle and lock it in that position. The stake has a length of 21.5cm with a diameter of 1.5cm, it is made from a strong plastic and comes in two parts, which just push together and pull apart.
The internal rechargeable battery has the following capacity of 600mAh, so it is of a small capacity, but still should keep the LED lights working for up to 10 to20 hours with a full charge in static mode, and in flashing mode on a full charge 16 to 20 hours.
If you get any problems with your LED Star Lights you can contact Helios, via Amazon or their web site or Email, and their landline telephone number which are all supplied on the back of the LED Star Lights manual.
These Helios Star LED Star Lights come boxed and apart from the string of 30 lights (6.5m long) which include a solar cell, you get a small ground stake, adjustable stand for the solar cell and instructions. The solar cell charges a 600mAh AA cell which is replaceable. The instructions are well written and the lights feature two modes flashing and steady plus they come on automatically after dark. Assuming a full charge of 4-8 hours in reasonable light they run for 10-15 hours in steady mode and 16 - 20 hours in flash mode.
I tested these lights as far as the Sussex winter would allow and they actually work rather well and look quite attractive emitting a white light (typical of LEDs) which is diffused by the stars. One slight gripe is that on delivery some of the stars had slipped off the LED mounts but they are easily pressed back into place and remain in position. Overall, for the price, these lights are reasonably made.
Overall, these are a nice set of lights which are ideal for lighting a small tree or conservatory etc. plus they show case well the low energy consumption of LEDs by the fact they do run for quite a while from their solar power pack.

This is a great kit at a good price. The lights look lovely once on, very pretty and I like the fact that they can be solid or flashing. They look very festive but could be used any time of year in my opinion. The stars are removable so you can use them as normal lights too. They are very easy to use. You charge them up using solar power so you need to ensure the solar panel is placed well to catch as much light as possible. When it gets dark, the lights will come on automatically if you have left the unit turned on, and will switch off again when it becomes light. In winter time, there is not enough light here in the UK to fully charge the battery so at some point the lights will turn out. At present I am using these indoors in my window, so i switch them off during the day and leave the battery to charge, and turn them on only when I return from work, this way I get the full benefit of them before the battery runs out! In summer I plan to use them in my garden and i fully expect them to stay on all night.
These outdoor lights consist of thirty stars which light up ‘cool’ white colour. The stars give off a low level if illumination for about 8 hours, if the unit is fully charged. They are great for decorating trees or windows, especially in the run up to Christmas. However, keeping the unit fully charged on these short days can be a challenge. If this is the case the unit can be switched off to converse power for when you actually want it.
The lights are solar powered and a small solar panel is integrated into the string of lights. Simply place the panel in a good location to catch the sun and hang the lights and then leave them to their own devices, it really couldn’t be simpler. The unit is waterproof, and is entirely self contained.
