This book is different from the first two in the sense that you get to see Caroline and Jack in their marriage. You get to see their happiness pour off the pages and yet amongst that there is political unrest and sense of doom.

This book brings in Jones, Crunch and Gabe who I fell in love with straightaway as they know they're in danger if they get caught yet they're still going ahead with it. They're anti the government and so after a while they make moves to get in touch with the rebel movement. I’m gonna say this, please please don’t let anything bad happen to these guys, they’ve wormed their way into my heart and I want to wrap them all in bubble wrap so they don’t get unnecessarily hurt!

The one thing I love about this book is that despite the fact it is a story it is so believable. I'm a bit sad that we don't get Jack in the present day or even a glimpse of what he's doing but I can understand why Caroline has to take centre stage. It gives the reader more tensions and questions to be answered. I have so many questions!

Are the children alive? Is Jack alive? Is there going to be a showdown with Jack, Caroline versus Santos and Murdock? (please let this happen!)

The ending is a cliffhanger but not a cliffhanger that makes me want to scream and throw my kindle across the room.

I'm eagerly anticipating the next book!

Sojourn is the third book in the Bellator Saga and is the best book in the series so far. Hands down. Although I'm pretty sure I'll say that again with book four...

I couldn't wait to get hold of this book nd once I cracked it open on my kindle I couldn't stop reading. I really think this is my favourite book of the series, my heart broke for Caroline in the last book and I wanted to lean in and rescue her from the hell she went through. Sojourn is the opposite to that book, it's a transitional book, Caroline has been saved from hell and for the first half of the book is recovering and getting her strength back.

Now, that could be an exceptionally boring thing to read, but it isn't and that's thanks to the way Cecilia writes. She's added three amazing characters in this book Gabe, Jones and Crunch the unlikely band of guys who rescued Caroline from the evil hands of The Fed at just the right time. They are a hoot to read and exactly what Caroline needed at this point in her journey which isn't yet over, they also provide some much needed comic relief which, as a reader, is needed and Caroline needs the humour too.

There are so many things I loved about this book, seeing Caroline get some semblance of the woman she once was and watching her become what she always had been again, a leader, even if it wasn't intended to be that way, by the time they got to their destination, she was the leader and I loved that.

Of course, this book had its heartbreaking moments, Caroline is broken and injured, plagued by memories and scars, both mental and physical from her time with The Fed. Like the last book, there are chapters from her life before with her beloved husband, Jack.

SOJOURN is the third book in The Bellator Saga, a political suspense about a couple who're deeply in love but have been torn apart by the Administration of their country. The star of the story and the leading force in terms of strength, sorrow and depth of feeling is Caroline; she is the shining light with the development of her character wonderfully depicted within the story arc.

Once again the format of this instalment is to alternate between past and present. The past showcasing the memories of Caroline, the female protagonist. I love her reaction to past memories in her bleak present. The seamless transitions between the two time frames offer a stark contrast between her current lonely reality and the splendour and romance of the past with Jack, our leading man.

I very much enjoyed the protagonist's open lines of communication with one another and the depiction of their close connection and compatibility. The erotic scenes showcased in the past are luscious but in many ways they're not a necessary element. It's the tone and feel of the story, along with the suspenseful aspect, that drives the saga forward and engages the reader in high anticipation.

When I'm reading this series it's like watching an addictive political drama with suspense, intrigue, depth and power. The ending of Sojourn is epic and exquisite in the way it tore through my emotions. It's complex, intelligently written and requires a certain level of patience to allow the story to grow and develop into the saga that it truly is. Three books in and I am hooked and ready for the next part. The story now feels like being with old friends who I want to succeed with a passion. If this sounds like something that would grip your reading attention too, then I highly recommend picking up this series.
