About the Author

William Dubbin studied soil science in Canada and the US before joining The Natural History Museum in 1997 as a soil mineralogist. He has field experience in North and Central America and has published widely on the mineralogy and chemistry of soils. A member of several soil science societies, he maintains an interest in the global issues of sustainable development and soil conservation.

Format: Paperback
Great book, I use it in my classes on soil science for students on the Emerson College Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture Training. It has just the right level of depth required, not too scientific, many pictures and drawings. Highly recommended.

I have seen this book on my teacher's desk and after a quick look through it, I decided to buy it. It is a good reference book and helps understand the fascinating stuff under our feet!
