So, as far as textbooks go, I would say this is a winner. Like I said, it's time consuming, but not a hard read, and it's easy to use. It really makes you put your mind to work and think about the skills you are learning. I would say you get the most out of it if you are really serious about your work and WANT to get something out of it.
Ok, so now that I am in my last semester of my social work degree (BSW - 2/2017), I really do wish I would have just outright bought this in the beginning, and not rented it. I couldn't bring myself to pay the difference after having rented it, when I could buy it used for about $50. The reason I am updating this is because since I have returned this book, there have been numerous times I would have liked to use it as a reference during assignments and exercises. Like I said at the end of my first review, if you are serious about your social work career, and want to get something out of the schooling, and aren't just going through the motions to get your degree, I would highly encourage you to buy this book. It's a lot cheaper after a semester ends, prices are highest at the beginning of the semester of course. I saw it for as low as $35 once, and still didn't buy it. Once I buy this again, I will be keeping it indefinitely. And even if you keep it past the semester you use it in, it has great re-sell value later on if you decide you don't need it. Ok, happy studying folks! :D
