David Myers is a veteran of writing exceptional quality, accessible student textbooks. Social Psychology (7th Edition) International Version is arguably his best yet.
It is written in a clear, invitational style. The content is simultaneously informative and interesting and arouses curiousity in the new student to social psychology. It is a good blend of theory, research studies, and practical day-to-day 'real-world' examples.
Above and beyond all these excellent features, the outstanding aspect of this book is the wide-ranging examples included. It is so refreshing to see examples gathered from many countries, and as both a Brit and a Scot, I found it wonderful to see the UK (and Scotland!) mentioned on several occasions by a US author. Thoroughly recommended.

This book is a fantastic new addition to social psychology teaching resources. It has clearly been targeted at expanding students' knowledge in a thorough and intelligent fashion, whilst also capturing each individual student's attention and imagination using thought-provoking features like the 'Research in Focus' and 'Inside Story' sections. The book provides comprehensive coverage of key areas of social psychology including all the essential classic studies, but also more recent theories and areas of interest such as the growing literature on social identity and health. The additional chapter on applied social psychology allows the student to understand how the theories developed within the discipline can be applied to the world around them, and this is also complimented by the clever 'Focus On' sections added to provide a more in depth exploration of each topic. My students enjoyed using the book as an aid to their learning and exam revision, and as a lecturer I found the online resources particularly valuable too.
