We work with some of the world's largest, most social brands. Companies like Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, Virgin America, and Hearst Digital. What they are doing is exactly what Richard Stacy is talking about. Richard is one of the absolute few people who recognize a key, immutable fact of the age in which we are living. The power of social media is not in the channel, it's in the disruptive nature that social media creates for large brands and how they must operate. Said another way, it's not about social media, it's how the world changes because of the arrival of social media.

I've been a fan of Richard's for a long time because he is so clairvoyant and focused in his understanding as well as his advice. It's one that many organizations are not yet heeding-though they do so at their own peril.

The seismic change that social represents is in its infancy. If you want to avoid being disrupted or becoming irrelevant, I suggest you read this book

As someone who is intrigued by social media, both personally, and in my work with clients, I can't highlight enough how insightful Richard's words are on this subject. The content of his book seems so obvious - yet it took reading the book to make it so for me. I was battling with feeling intuitively what other experts were saying about social media was wrong, but as a marketer, was struggling to communicate it coherently to my clients, many of whom merely want me to tell them how to set up a Facebook business page! Thanks Richard for your laser-like clarity and thanks also for taking the time to meet up with me to talk to me about it in person.

The joy of reading someone who is original can only be felt by those, who like me have so many times come across unoriginal and repetitive. Richard's book deserves a read if only for the sake of savouring one of those rare instances of pure delight in appreciating a truly creative idea.

While reading it, you can see how the author has started with a blank slate only armed with zealous curiosity so characteristic of great thinkers. I would implore you to just have a glance over any of his articles freely floating on the web to get a zest of what he is talking about.

The most valuable processes and strategies that we've developed while working with some of the big banks and B2B communities have been a direct result of reading and listening to Richard Stacy. His book 'Social Media and The Three Per Cent Rule' is the best short-cut to understanding social that we can recommend. We liked it so much we left a video review on Amazon!

Richard has a knack of stating the obvious in such a way that it stimulates and inspires your own thinking: he clearly has an extraordinary understanding of the practicalities of social media and its real-world application. i thoroughly enjoyed the book and I could not recommend it more.
