I found these guys through a friend who saw them live, when you're constantly listening to Decapitated, Meshuggah and Hate Eternal, you want something new but just as heavy, so here it is.

They have a mix of all technical, thrash and hardcore which works really, really well, brilliant vocals, the drumming is INTENSE and great guitar work......oh, and who can leave the bassist out :-P

Haven't listen to an album that put hairs on the back of my neck since Organic, any metal head would be wise to check them out.

Cheers for reading \m/

`And So It Came To Pass' is the second release for Horsham based three piece, death metal bandDyscarnate. Dyscarnate are a furious live act that having witnessed their aural assault, whilst supporting Ingested in 2010, were clearly displaying the mantle of `The best British Extreme metal band'. With a sound reminiscent of a cross between Misery Index and Dying Fetus, they can mix it with the most technical of bands, whilst never losing sight of the groove within their playing. All instruments sound so powerful and menacing that their aim of ripping your face off, yet leaving you longing for more is clearly achieved throughout. The dual vocal attack, again reminiscent of Dying Fetus, is refreshing instead of your typical indecipherable, monotone death metal delivery! Their first album `Enduring The Massacre' was certainly as impressive a debut release to come from these shores in a long time, but this release certainly has surpassed that in both song writing, aggression and all out great musicianship. You don't tour across Europe with the likes of Cephalic Carnage andPsycroptic, if you are just an average UK based extreme metal band!

There seems to be more of a focused approach on this release and certainly a lot more diversity in the playing all round. The drums sound fantastic and are once again played with passion and a desire to incorporate more groove/feel into the tracks. Both the guitars and bass sound massive and hit you like a sledge hammer. Stand out tracks for me personally from this current release include: `The Promethean', `A Drone In The Hive' and `Seizure'.

In my opinionDyscarnate are currently standing head and shoulders above any other death metal band in the UK. They have certainly raised the bar on this album.

this album is such a refreshing change in death metal, lately so many modern concentrate on out "brutal"ing each other, they forget about writing a good song, dyscarnate do this brilliantly.

on this album the band take a step back and let the music breath without sacrificing any intensity. the album whilst fast in many places also has alot of groove, and chuggy riffs, some even remind one of prong! you cant help but nod your head whilst listening! its beautifully produced and heavy as hell!

highlights include opener "in the face of armageddon" and "the promethean" rocks!

highly recommended

HASH(0x94ff45b8) out of 5 stars And So It was freakin' Bada$$ 17 Mar. 2012

I heard about these guys back 2009, I was in middle school, and at the time Extreme Metal was a big passion of mine. I always wanted to play it. But there was always a band that made me strive to be and play MUCH better , and they were called Dyscarnate. If you don't know these guys, they're a 3 piece band from the U.K. And unlike most DM bands, Dyscarnate have a much different approach to Death Metal. The scene at the moment is all about brutality, well, these guys have that....but they have grooves and speed that put them at a spot which is considerably their ticket to being one of the best bands out there. "And So It Came to Pass" is their second full length album, and like their first one, they have not changed a bit. The guitar work is amazing, the production on them is so unique its as if they carved these riffs from Marble stone with delicate precision. The drumming is very Technical, which is something to expect...but what makes it different is that isn't just blasting or trying to be in your face, it's actually following the songs rhythm.(not many DM bands do that, most try to be blast beats) - the vocals are something else. You have lead vocals and backing vocals which stack VERY WELL on this album, "The Promethean" highlights this style notably. Every song is incredible, it's impossible to specifically pinpoint a song which you'll love since most are lovable.

Overall I give this badboy a good 10/10. This is Modern Death Metal done right people. Rock on, Fellas. \m/ (._.) \m/
HASH(0x95063c3c) out of 5 stars Amazing album 24 April 2012

As far as downloading the product goes, Amazon MP3 is painless and quick. The album itself is an amazing death metal album. This one has much more grooving and chugging then their previous one, but it also has a fair amount of grind and blast to keep everyone happy. Not a technical album, but by no means "simple". IF you're looking for straight ahead death metal that doesn't kill you with blast beats then this is an excellent albums. Top 10 of 2012 for sure.

Exactly what I expected. Great album. Shipping was dead on time. Not late or early. Buy this album if you're a death metal fan. It's definitely worth it. And if you're a dyscarnate fan, you should already have it!
