I devoured this book - one moment laughing out loud, the next, gulping back tears. I never guessed what was coming next and because of this, couldn't bear to put it down! I loved, loved, loved it and would recommend it to everybody. Without doubt, a five star read, perfect for the festive season.
I love how the characters are intertwined from one book to the next. Although each book is centred around a new character, we get to catch up with old friends too as we venture back to Wynbridge. I loved in this book, that we got to catch up with Anna from Sleigh Rides and Silver Bells at the Christmas Fair. It was lovely to find out what she's been up to. This also means I can expect to catch up with Hayley in a future novel!
Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls is a wonderful story of heartbreak, lost souls, family and finding love again. I adore the setting of Wynthorpe Hall, especially at Christmas! It makes me nostalgic for the Christmases I used to have as a child, playing in the cold, frosty air, lots of family around and delicious food everywhere! I wish I lived in a village like this and could participate in the festive fun!
Now, Hayley... What can I say? She is an amazing woman! She's a serious contender for character I'd like as my bff! She's so strong, feisty and just so loyal and lovely! I adored her! And Gabe... Swoon! I loved Angel Gabriel and his huge doggo, Bran! They brought a bit of mystery to Wynbridge with them and I loved unravelling their story. I developed quite strong feelings for Gabe as the story progressed and by the end, I gotta say, I LOVED him! A LOT!
Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls is a fabulous festive read, with lots of love, chosen family, yummy food and a delightful setting that you just need to get lost in. This is the perfect remedy to a long, stressful day. Grab a hot drink, a cinnamon swirl, light a candle and get lost in the pages! You won't regret it
It literally melted my heart from start to finish. I enjoyed every little moment, the characters were a delight and I loved getting to know them all.
I thoroughly enjoyed returning to the location of Wynthorpe Hall, becoming involved and reacquainting myself
with all of the wonderful characters again, not to mention the Christmas festivities and traditions. I fell in love with the new addition of Bram, the dog, he sounded like such a character and so adorable. I also loved getting to know his owner Gabe, who sounded truly handsome with a sensitive nature to him.
As always, I loved experiencing all of the going on's at Wynthorpe Hall whilst they prepared for Christmas and the ever expanding Winter Wonderland event. I just wanted to be there myself to enjoy it all for real.
I really didn't want the story to end or to say bye to the characters and I'm already looking forward to reading Heidi's other books so as I can indulge myself her wonderful stories and delightful characters again.
Going back to Wynbridge is a treat as is catching up with old friends residing there, as well as the excitement of meeting new characters.
When Hayley Hurren catches her Fiancé Gavin literally with his trousers down at their engagement party in the local pub, she promtly moves into Wynthorpe Hall where she works, determined to go back to her fun loving ways. Hayley has no future plans of any further long term relationships. She feels totally at home and comfortable until new arrival Gabe turns up and a spark between them is lit. Getting over the past for both Hayley and Gabe is easier said than done and quite a battle to overcome.
Full of romance, sparkle and special friendships this is a gorgeous read, reminding us that Christmas is a magical time of the year and not too far away.
