I wasnt sure what to expect of this book. The lead character is mormon and this is mentioned a few times during the book but it doesnt have any sort of religious aspect.
The book had a good pace and the characters were fun. Nice to read a light murder mystery.

This is a reasonably entertaining read about a young woman on the opening night of her refurbished hotel where a subsequent murder takes place. There are some interesting characters, notably grandma who will amuse you but in general, the book isn`t clever enough and can`t quite decide if it`s a comedy or a who done it. I had to make myself read it to the conclusion and it was a bit of a chore.

When I got my Kindle I searched the Amazon site for cheap or free detective fiction, and this was one of the first I downloaded. I really enjoyed it, and look forward to more titles in the series

I liked this book, this is the 1st of Heathers' mystery books ive read, before it has been the xmas novellas. For me there were too many characters to keep track of who is who, also a bit far fetched in places. Saying that I've download #2 in the series...

I've just realised who the grandmother in this book reminds me of - it is Stephanie Plum's grandmother in the Janet Evanovich novels I much prefer Stephanie's Gran - not far into the book but this struck me straight away - I feel that characters should be original though! and although I loved the first Helen Horrocks book I read I've been put off finishing this one!

I'm only half way through this light hearted mystery, but I am enjoying it. Still never have enough words for these reviews. I can't really review it when I haven't finished!
