Every good girl has a wild side – don’t they?
Well, Paige has lived life as the good girl for far too long, living up to everyone’s expectations and never having a foot or hair out of place.
Her mother’s instruction manual never missed a single page in her blow by blow account of social acceptability, except it missed the very Paige it needed to focus on because all the while she was just doing what everyone expected of her, her life never afforded her the opportunity to be the woman she wanted to be for herself.
But this time, this opportunity, it is her time to shine, her chance to stand tall and stand on her own two feet – her business will either sink or swim with her at the helm and she is determined that she has what it takes to succeed…and so Aspen here she comes.
I liked Paige, I liked that she was devoted to what she did, that she was able to stand on her own two feet and take charge of a situation. She had plenty of practice at dealing with difficult people and situations but dealing with her latest client… well that was a new one on her.
Ace wasn’t an easy man, he had, had the rock star career, which was tragically cut short following an accident but he didn’t quit the industry, he just moved over to the management side but his loss lay heavy in his heart whether he would admit it or not.
Deciding to imbibe in a little holiday spirit, Ace opens his doors and decides to throw a party for the great and good of the music industry but getting it off the ground and everything under way – that is Paige’s problem, nothing too problematic then, unless of course you count Ace himself that is.

Paige has been living a life the way her mother instructed her to. She's the good girl, the one that listens and does as she's told. After years of helping plan events and parties, she's decided to start her own business. This is something that she can be happy doing, something that she loves. This is what has brought her to Aspen. It's her first real job, the big break she needs to make a name for herself.

Ace is a drummer turned music mogul after an accident ended his career. He's having a holiday party where the who's who of the music industry are invited. Although successful, he's a bit of a recluse and doesn't make the best of first impressions when he bumps into Paige. He's a man that takes what he wants, when he wants, how he wants.

Paige is determined to make this event the best it can be and Ace could care less about all the little details. There is an obvious attraction flowing between the two, but Paige isn't looking to cross that line. Ace knows this, but doesn't stop the salacious flirting. Then to make matters worse, a snow storm blows in cancelling the party. No one is getting in and no one is getting out. Having these two sensuous individuals in a confined space is liking adding fuel to the fire.

They share some very steamy days togethers, but what happens when the snow starts to melt? Is this a fling with an end date, or the start of something more?

If you're looking for a fun, quick holiday read, then this is the book for you! This a brilliant story that is full of the quick wit that only Lila can bring. Paige has some pretty hysterical inner conversations that her Mother would be very displeased with. Ace proves he can just as charming as he is aggravating.

Snowed In by Lila Monroe is a stand-alone novella with a wonderfully sweet Christmas theme. This book is essentially Paige's story - we met her in the Billionaire With A Twist series. She is Ally's sister and is now trying her talented hands at Event Coordinating. Thanks to an obscure connection of her mother's she has landed a job in Aspen for a big music producer. This is their tale.

Ace Carmichael is a rock-star turned music exec and answers to practically no one. He is throwing a christmas party for a bunch of industry stars, at least he was, until he was snowed in with Paige. Prim and proper, party planner Paige.

I absolutely adored this quick read - it was well-paced, the characters were perfectly fleshed out and it was great to see Ally & Hunter in passing. LOVED IT!!!

This talented man was far from easy to work with, he had a cheeky belligerence about him that made him hard to get a handle on but Paige wasn’t willing to let him derail her plans and if this reclusive mogul wanted a kick ass party, he was going to get one.
The only thing was, that following a less than auspicious first meeting, Ace had other wants and needs on his mind and Paige while she may have been initially out of the loop, he wasn’t too slow in making her perfectly well aware that he wanted a darn sight more than just a party, he wanted her and what Ace wants he normally gets.
I was surprised at first at how easy the attraction between the two of them flowed, there really was some serious vibes being kicked about between the two of them but Paige was certain that this really could be the launch pad for her career, so crossing the line with a client was a definite no no.
But with a man like Ace on the prowl, she could hide for long.
I loved his cheekiness, he knew that she liked him and used it to his advantage, much like he did when the snow put paid to all her hard work, after all having her all to himself was no hardship, if anything it was a better idea than the party.
Stuck together to ride out the worst the weather could throw at them, they could only stave off the inevitable for so long but was it as fleeting at the snow that had then harboured together or was this the beginning of something that was more substantial?
This was a short but engaging read, full of charm and cleverly interjected with a strong sense of wit. Paige was a funny character in more ways than one and that made her more endearing in my book but Ace he takes a little getting used to but in the end I thought he did enough to capture my attention.
They were cut from very similar cloth in many ways, both strong willed and determined, and I do enjoy a story that gives both characters equal opportunity to shine.

Paige and Ace are alike in so many ways, that watching their interacting is exquisite. And what not to like about Allie and Hunter make an appearance or two.

In the end, this story proves that sometimes the best things come in the most unlikely of places.

HASH(0x9680b7bc) out of 5 stars a short, simple & happy story that will warm you up from the inside out 2 Dec. 2015
By Heather / Obsessed With Myshelf - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Lila is my brand of humor. Every time I read her books it’s like the sarcasm flows just a little more freely afterwards…and well, if you know me then you know that that’s pretty impressive. Like monumentally impressive. Almost as impressive as Ace’s large and beautiful….winter lodge. Ok, he has a nice package too. and by package I mean d!ck.

see. that’s lila’s fault. you can blame her for those last few sentences.

Snowed In thrust me into a winter wonderland of happiness and romance and hilarity. I was thrilled to read about Paige – the perfect sister – and I found I actually liked her. Like Lila’s other heroines she has a strong voice and a stronger backbone. Except when Ace is whispering in her ear or licking down her chest or eating her….perfectly prepared dinner. *snort* I DID IT AGAIN. #sorrynotsorry.

Paige is trying to start up her event planning business. She’s a bit of a perfectionist and she’s desperate to make a name for herself – I mean, she’d really rather not go back to planning dog parties. She will. But she really doesn’t want to.

Of course the owner of the winter lodge that booked her next party is Ace. And of course he’s a bit of a playboy and a lot of a tease. But they are so freaking cute together that I wanted to shove them against each other for every bit of this book.

god I love lila. and her books. and the smiling that they induce. This novella is a short, simple & happy story that will warm you up from the inside out. 5 stars!

HASH(0x96cc9db0) out of 5 stars Loved it! 2 Dec. 2015

I'm very excited to see a bit of a crossover with Billionaire with a Twist! Now Paige gets her turn in the spotlight!

So Paige is set to organise a party for a billionaire executive but things don't go according to plan. When the party is halted because of all the snow, Paige finds herself stuck alone with Ace. Sounds great right? ;) Of course Paige wants this job to be a success so she does her hardest to resist the attractive boss. However, initially, Ace is a bit of a jerk. As you can see here in Paige's words:

"The airport douchbro is my boss."

Lol, I love it! He is cocky and a bit of a player. He knows he's hot and not afraid to show it. I think most of us would have a difficult time resisting him if we were stuck someplace romantic and all alone. But as the story progresses, Ace seems more sincere and much more likable. Plus, how could you say no to him when he says something like this?

"I want you," he whispers against the hollow of my neck, kissing me.

It's a fun novella with naughtiness, funny bits and heart warming moments. The cover is fantastic and the characters are even more so. The only problem? I want more! That is always the trouble isn't it? Great books are never long enough. A great read. Can't wait for more from Lila Monroe!

HASH(0x9608f4b0) out of 5 stars The fine print... 2 Dec. 2015

It's been a long time since I've loved both the male and female protagonists equally. I don't even think love is a strong enough word. The effortless banter between Paige and Ace left my sides in stitches and my panties on fire. Lila has the ability to transition from hot, steamy, leg clenching dialogue to hilarious, witty, and cheeky- all without making you upset that the climax never came (pun intended).

Ace is an ex rocker whose career ended due to an untimely accident. To cope with not being able to jam anymore he transforms himself into a successful record exec. What better way to end the year than to throw a Holiday party for his A-list friends. But what does a music exec know about hosting ritzy parties?

Enter Paige Bartlett. The older completely opposite version of her sister Ally (Billionaire with a Twist), right? Ahhhh so so wrong. Determined to branch out on her own and do more than host high society gatherings she sets out to make her own party planning business. Her first client? Ace Carmichael. He's handsome, has a sense of humor and knows Marvel and DCU. None of that matters though. Paige has rules....besides, she can't sleep with her boss.....
