As much as I love Christmas, I have never really felt much of an urge to read Christmas stories. No idea why, just not that bothered by them....... usually. Until reading Snow Kissed.

I knew this would be a great story, because I love Lisa Swallow's writing. But I didn't expect to love it quite as much as I did. Sitting with just candles burning, and rain and wind outside, I felt quite sucked into this sweet story. The atmospheric scene of a wintery white Cotswold setting, with family, lots food, and the usual Christmas family hiccups, was more than enough to have me feeling sucked in, and wanting to go rent out a cottage for christmas. Perhaps I could hire myself a Jamie for the cottage too.

What topped this well written and cute story and made it an addictive read, was the intense chemistry between Sadie and Jamie. From the hilarious scrap over the coveted Christmas toy, to the snowball fight whilst escaping the crazy household. There is plenty of heat building, but of course there is a few obstacles to jump over before they can actually admit that they like each other.

If you want a quick, sweet and sexy Christmas tale, with a dash of humor. Then Snow Kissed is perfect! So perfect, that I actually would love to see these characters again, I want to know what happens when the snow melts! :)

5 Stars!!

I don't like novellas as a rule. I generally find them lacking in detail and they usually rush through skipping chunks of plot in order to be completed by the required page number. Snow Kissed is a perfect exception to this, weaving a beautiful Christmas love story that leaves you wanting more for all the right reasons.
When Sadie finds herself attending her sister Lotties Christmas wedding alone she isn't too worried as she has plenty to do to help her sister get ready for the big day. Then the best man shows up and its none other than the arrogant idiot she had nearly had a fight with in the toy shop a few days earlier! But there is more to Jamie's attitude than he has told his family, and as he and Sadie are thown together to get the wedding ready, they find theres more than just an initial attraction between them.
The story moves at a lovely pace, with the characters developing throughout the book. If you haven't read one of Lisa's books before, then this is a perfect place to get started - she has such a great ability to write likeable, complex characters and totally believable plots, which combined make her stories perfect to lose yourself in.
If you've ever seen the film 'the holiday' this story reminds me a little of the Cameron Diaz/Jude Law storyline - and is a perfect winter warmer for the soul.

Love!
It's a Christmas wedding for Sadie's romantic sister, Lottie. She's met her prince and now they're about to have their happily ever after. Notsomuch for Sadie, who just lost her job, as well as a store battle over the last of the most-wanted toys for this season.
But you know what they say about the Maid of Honour and the Best Man...
This is the perfect Christmas story - short (you can read it in one sitting), sweet, dreamy, romantic and passionate. As usual, Swallow writes likeable, believable characters and realistic situations. This is a lovely romance with a wonderful ending.

Sadie’s sister Lotte is getting married. Many will recognise this as what can happen when families get together at this time. Sadie is going through it for various reasons. Then she meets Jamie, soon to be best man and her the Maid of Honour! Lots of angst and upsets, but also lots of romance too, in the end......Well read this short story and enjoy for yourself. Lisa Swallow is a very good writer, from the beginning to the end!
Always enjoy her well written books.

Mr Grey the CEO with a helicopter...a Colin Firth clone at his Mr Darcy best...fighting over the last toy in a department store...and the one thing I've never seen: a white Christmas. Oh, this is a sweet love story, all right, with just a hint of spice. Settle in with your glass of Baileys (or winter drink of choice) and read it in one sitting, just like I did! Five stars.
