The monster, that is. But don't get too excited - you just get a fairly basic 'man in a furry suit' costume instead. And the mask is really obvious too. But really, you can't expect too much from a low budget TV movie. It's a fairly basic story of a research team looking for Lynx that they have been monitoring for a few years and finding they're all gone. And of course, the monster is the culprit. There's the build up to the 'big' discovery, then the flight to safety, and you need to work out who survives and who doesn't. It's all a bit lazy but OK viewing. Be aware that the rating is for age 12 and above so there isn't lots of blood and gore if that's what you are looking for.

snow beast {or it could have been called man runs around in the snow in an unconvincing suit} not very good effects. not a great story. not very good acting. if you like b monster movies you will like this. if your not a fan its one to forget.nice scenery and cabin sham they were not in a better movie.the snow beast is rubbish you see to much of him and when its a cheap costume. its laughable when you see him.they should have had made him more misterious by not showing all of him just an odd glimps here and there would have made it a more better and creepy film

I have the 1971 version of this film, and I have to admit that it's much more tense (although never scary) than this version. But, having said that, I still thoroughly enjoyed this TV remake. John Schneider is great in the film and the effects are pretty decent. Don't expect to be scared or amazed at its originality and you might enjoy it. A definite worth-a-try for fans of monster-movie films like Anaconda, Mega-shark, Octopus and other such so-bad-they're-good fare.

Once again very poor reviews but, i think its an OK film. Low budget but once the film gets going its not bad if your a fan of bigfoot or the yeti, its a must see if you get it cheap like i did...

This DVD was Definitely done on a budget I laughed all the way through the film! WASTE of money , the only scary part is the actors bad bad bad acting but at least you have a laugh for your waste of money with this film! I should have known better a yeti with bad teeth I am still laughing I wonder why they claimed this to be a horror? Waste of time and money folks unless you want to waste money like I did!

Yep it is another formula "stay in the car" movie. Everyone sees the creature and does not believe what they see until they get dispatched; then they do not care. Most of the victoms are too clumsy to get away and become creature chow. I am surprised they did not try to make a pet out of it like a stray cat or maybe give it religion so it will change its carnivorous ways.

The underlying themes are how people behave under pressure. A girl thinks her father is not listening. The father thinks the girl has a rotten attitude. The female scientist thinks everyone is a pansy and armed with a camera will force the beast to say cheese. The third wheel male scientist spouts wisdom and then falls prey to altruistic machoism.

Will they ever learn their lessons or will the beast get fat and die from clogged arteries?
