Product description

Differences between Bike Tie Pro and Bike Ty.

  • Bike Tie Pro - portrait position of the phone when mounted on the rod.
  • Bike tie: portrait position on handlebars.

Why choose Bike Tie Pro?

1. Extremely Lightweight:
Lightweight, and much less air resistance than a standard handlebar bracket.

2. Multiple Screen Size:
For any smartphone with a screen size of 4 to 6 inches.

3. Protect your phone:
Most holders are made of hard plastic which shakes and vibrates your phone when you ride. There is a good chance that your phone falls, or at least scratching. The bike tie is made from high quality silicone that will never scratch or damage your device, and will absorb vibration when driving.

4. No moving parts:
Most brackets are fixed with a metal screw. Rusted metal. The Bike Tie Pro has no metal parts to rust, and no moving parts to break.

5. Quick assembly:
The holder can be fixed and removed in seconds.

Nifty Gadget!

Nifty Gadget!
It's a nifty little holder. As others have mentioned, a huge improvement on my previous disasters. I didn't get the bit in the explanation about it being used as a phone case when removed from the bike. But if you actually see it, it makes way more sense. I certainly wouldn't use it as my main case, but it lets you put your finger in the back for one handed typing. I've seen loops like that on cases before, but never tried one. Pretty handy. Not exactly a reason for buying this thing, but just thought I'd mention it if anyone else is wondering why you would use it as a case.

I bought this for my motorbike as I was not too keen on 99% of all other bike mounts out there that by comparison to this product are flimsy, overly complicated, and not as pretty.

This holder fits perfectly in the centre between the fork clamps. It attaches to the bars easily and gives a good hold while riding. It could fit even thicker bars, I have it on the 2nd from last notch. It also holds an iphone 6s in a slim case perfectly. No vibration or slippage at all because the silicone is quite dense and absorbs vibrations well. It doesn't ruin the look of the bike because its so sleek unlike other clamp mounts do which is exactly what I was looking for.

It doesn't roll around the bars which was my only concern. I am sure it would also be fine on a bicycle too but if you are going off road it may slip around the bars?! Off road though I am sure you don't really need to reference your phone/gps.

100% the best mount out there. I may well buy another as a spare as the design is not something I have seen elsewhere before.

Really nice product. Used it a few times now with my iPhone 6S and I’m pretty impressed. It fits the phone well with its thin case on (as it’s stretchy) The silicone seems to absorb any shocks pretty well (by itself wobbling around a bit). Well made and no chance of it falling off.

Obviously if it rains, your phone is going to get wet. Although this could probably stretch to fit a phone in a waterproof case. Or if you have a waterproof phone (iPhone 7 or newer) I guess rain doesn’t matter.

Would like it if there was a version that had the mount facing sideways so that I could still have my phone in portrait, but mounted to my bike’s stem rather than the handlebars. But still worth the 5 stars.

This is a great design - simple but effective, like most great designs. I have been using this with my iPhone 6 for a week and am surprised at how good a product it is. My handlebars are not an even diameter and taper towards the outer ends. As a result I have found it very difficult to keep anything where I want it on them. This holder is just right for the phone allowing it to sit beside the gear shifts on the left side of my handlebars. The only issue I have had is that in the hot weather, riding over bumpy roads the holder has slipped a little, with the whole unit including my phone sliding with gravity a little. Not much and it could easily be remedied with some tape that would give better grip for the holder on my handlebars. I would definitely recommend this holder for someone who commutes on roads or likes to cycle for leisure however I doubt it would be much good off road.

This phone holder is really great, and exactly what I was looking for. I needed something to use with my Sony Xperia X Compact that I really trusted for my precious phone. For me this meant:
    - Simple, no moving parts to break or wear down.
    - Tight-fitting. I didn't want to be nervous the phone would fall off while I'm riding!
    - Easy to get the phone in and out of.
    - Easy to fit in the first place.

This product is all of those things. My phone is on the small side, but the fit is still nice and snug. Despite this, it is really fast to get the phone in and out. I've ridden a few hundred miles now with the phone in the holder, and even on the bumpiest roads, it's been perfectly secure. Oh, and it took practically no time to get onto the bike. Love love love.

The unit itself is easy to attach to the bike, but my iphone6 with a case (which i'm sure someone reading this has) doesn't fit well in the unit. The bands that cover the corners are stretched and it feels awkward everytime I put it in. In saying that though, it's never fallen out and does the job. But not the best product on the market.

Thoroughly satisfied by this product. I was a little skeptical when I saw only 5-star reviews but now I feel like adding to them.

It is easy to attach and remove the holder from the handlebar, and it has very good stability. The phone does not rotate around the bar, whether you have it horizontally, using as a GPS, or vertically, using as a camera.

    Using with iPhone 7 plus:

It feels like you are stretching it a lot when trying to fit an iPhone 7 plus, but so far there are no signs that I'm gonna tear it apart soon.
Taking the phone on/off is easy, and you are able to use the home button when the phone is mounted (one of the straps will be partially over the button but it does not obstruct usage). You also have to fiddle around a little bit with the upper strap in order to properly use the camera (because naturally the strap will be quite close to the camera, and it disturbs the focus when trying to record a video). But the phone feels very secured and stable, I haven't had the feeling at any instant that it might fall off.

I bought this as it claimed to be suitable for my Oneplus 3 but when the corner bands are pulled back far enough to go over my phone they are clearly over-stretched as the material turns a pale colour. If you have a 'standard' size phone I'm sure this will be fine but if it's one of the larger models available I don't believe this is for you. With my phone loaded the corner straps looked like they could 'go' any moment and my confidence in its security was lost.
  • Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 June 2017
This is a great case which I have now taken along a very rutted path and have had no issues. the phone stays locked in place and the whole unit stays well attached to my handlebars. Phone insertion is simple and attaching to the handlebars is as well. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone. The only reason for the reduction in starts is that, on my S6, I struggle to use the 2 soft buttons to the left and right of the main home button as they are obscured by the silicone straps. As I don't use these much when riding, it Is not a major issue but when I decided to take a photo, I did then have to stop my ride, move the silicone aside and reset to Strava.
