Isaac's playing covered a number of styles - latin, jazz, pop, blues, rock, folk, ...
This album has all styles (except rap, hip hop...) and contains superb playing and fine singing.
There are cover versions of established songs (Django Reinhardt's Nuages, Paul Simon's 'Late In The Evening', Merle Travis's 'Sixteen Tons', together with lesser known songs either self-penned or borrowed where Isaac brings the magic out to the full - not least the title song, Slow Down).
You get specialists in all areas - blues, jazz, pop - but rarely someone who mixes them all together so masterly and succeeds in making an album you can either sing along to or just listen to.

All of Isaac's work is outstanding. I was privileged to see him live on numerous occasions, always at small intimate venues where he was at his happiest - totally connecting with his audience. We always chatted afterwards and he was a true gentleman in every respect, always encouraging and ready with musical advice. What a dreadful loss his passing was, he had SO much more to give.

God bless you Isaac - R.I.P. my friend

Isaac Guillory was quite simply one of the greatest guitarists who ever lived, and his untimely death is still mourned by his fans. Slow Down is Guillory at his shining best. Buy it.
