OH MY GOD! This story was amazing!!

It’s been sitting on my Kindle since I purchased it, last June. The blurb totally intrigued me at the time but since I battle daily with a unwieldy TBR, a post on social media finally prompted me to read this novel.

And, let me tell you, it had me completely hooked and wishing I’d read it sooner.

R and Sloth are pen-pals, exchanging handwritten letters, via an intermediary organisation, until the letters stop being forwarded on to the other and they lose touch.

Cleo Whatley is at college. She’s a sorority member and has a little business that keeps her afloat and thriving, and more than supplements her scholarship. However, one day, she comes face to face with college golden boy, Kellan Walsh, who wants to shut her business down. Their meeting changes everything for Cleo – her life ends up in total upheaval, full of questions, doubt, and sexual awakening.

I thoroughly enjoyed the unravelling of the whole story.

The letters intrigued me. You find out pretty soon how R, Sloth, Cleo and Kellan are connected. Kellan is gorgeous, mysterious, leads a double life, and has some deep, dark secrets. This book really messes with your mind and thoughts about what you think is true. There’s plenty of sex and intensity because Cleo and Kellan can’t keep their hands off each other. Then when you get to the crux of the story, be prepared! I booed my eyes out! It was painful and heartbreaking, but through it all, there’s an affirmation of life and love. An absolute must-read!

How to start this review. Amazing, intense, thoughtful, beautiful, wonderfully written, sad, funny, sexy and soo emotional. This book is a top 5 star read, the first I have read by Ella James and it won't be the last. Every chapter you read you can peel back more and more layers of this incredible story between Kellan and Cleo. They get to know each other way before they actually meet but of course don't realize it. Kellan is the God of sex in this book, the sex scene's are off the scale seriously hot !!! The story and writing is amazing and brilliant and I can't recommend this book enough.

This book is different to others I've read. The author is very knowledgeable of the subjects mentioned in the book. I really liked the 2 main characters and thought Sloth was true to life.

I can't say too much without giving the secret away but I found myself crying real tears.

So why did I not give it 5/5? The sex scenes were great. Very steamy. Especially in the first half of the book. But then I got bored of how often they happened. Even at times when you think it'd be the last thing on their minds. So, for that reason, and the errors that weren't picked up in editing, I give it a 4.

Also loved the authors note at the end of the book. A must read.

I'm surprised I managed to see the words to read the last part of this amazing book through all the tears and snot, maybe because it hits close to home a little too much, I'm not gonna mention what happens because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, and I know a lot of people say that some books have them gripped from the first sentence, which I find hard to believe because it takes me a couple of chapters but this is the first one to do this to me and I haven't put it down, the characters are amazing along with the 'real letters' outlay and I've enjoyed this one immensely, definitely worth the money, also to the author I hope everyone you know and love are in a healthier and happy place and to those who aren't may they be in a peaceful happy place, God bless. This book honestly it started off and I got to grips with Kellan and Cleo and I thought I knew where it was going, then BAM! Game changer this books takes you through a myriad of challenges and emotions. From a star crossed lovers, drug dealers, being hospital patient and dealing with the harsh realities of what that means. For Kellan and Cleo finding out who they are as people and who they are together and learning that their so much better together. Just do yourself and read this book, it was a hell of a ride and pulled at my heart strings which is hard to do I tell you.

No spoilers.

There's a saying that the first lines in a book will be the ones to grab you in and keep you there till your finished and Ella James has done an outstanding job of keeping me sucked in till the very end.

Many people find it easier to write there feelings down on paper and this is how we see the story unfold.

I went through allot of emotions reading Sloth. I was curious, frustrated at times, curious, happy, mad, curious again, shocked, sad, I cried...which I don't do allot. I cried so hard that I struggled to see the writing in front of me the epilogue made it worse then BOOM!!!.... Happy tears!!

*WARNING- I'm left with a book hangover*
