Great recipes that dont require chef level skills to make.
The low calorie option is always nice to have as it makes week day meals more healthy while still being easy to prepare.
Free book so nothing to complain about from me, good addition to my cookery books.

I must admit to feeling a little cheated by this book. I have had a slow cooker for many years, and thought this may give me new ideas for healthy eating. A few basic recipes-none new to me- followed by lots and lots of soup recipes. Might be OK for someone just starting out with a slow cooker, but there are definitely many superior books out there.

This is great to give yourself a starting point to slow cooking, and particularly with soups! It's useful to have to help with meal planning and so on. I like to tweak recipes to add / take away things I may or may not like, but this gives a good base to begin with. A good choice for the novice and nothing too complicated, it's good to have particularly if you're trying to cut back on the calories but ensure a decent meal with limited time.

Having tried a few recipes I find I need to adapt them to fit a 1.5 litre slow cooker. Sometimes there is too much liquid in the recipe or too much of a dry ingredient. A good cookbook as a baseline for your own modifications.

Great recipes , tasty and not over complicated or using obscure ingredients. I like the fact that there are recipes for 2 included. The Chicken and Chorizo Stew for 2 is lovely as is the Chickpea Stew which is for 1 person.

I love this book as it gives healthy low calorie recipes as well as good healthy tips at the end of some recipes. Recipes are easy to follow but I do have my own take on some of the recipes (ie do not fry, I just put onions in raw). I would have liked to seen more pictures of the finished products, hence the 4 stars.
