I only read this book recently but I had to look back at the storyline description to remember what it was about - not a lot! It's not one of RP's best, very straightforward and unexciting throughout; the ending of the story can be predicted from the outset. It's immediately obvious what is going to happen to Selina as none of the characters (including her) have any depth and are all exactly what they seem to be. I did think that George Dyer may be an early version of Cosmo from "The Shell Seekers" (which I really do like and would recommend) which the author went on to develop when she wrote that book. Read "The Shell Seekers" and "September" instead and don't bother with this one.

I love reading this author's books and again this was a reread but still enjoyable. This is a sweet romance in a lovely holiday setting in the Mediterranean.

I love these books by Rosamunde Pilcher and this is a sweet romance in a lovely holiday Spanish location an unusual story line. Again I had previously read this book.

A nice little story set in the mid 20th century about Selina who thinks she's discovered her presumed dead father living as an author on a Mediterranean island. It's not quite up to the usual high standard you normally expect from Rosamunde Pilcher but good enough to be a pleasant light read for a quiet afternoon.

I am a great fan of Rosamunde Pilcher and can't believe she has written this book, it is so trite, whoever did write this must have just watched Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday as the dialogue is identical and what was charming in Audrey Hepburn is simply irritating now. The book is full of typing errors which interfere with the flow and I would not recommend this to anyone. Sorry, but not the usual standard.

I am a huge fan of Rosamunde Pilcher but this book was too slow. I couldn't get into the story at all. I got
fed up of it and in the end abandoned it. Very disappointing,

I was disapointed with this book. The story was far fetched and the characters one dimensional. I usually love Rosamund's Pilcher but this was not one of her best - actually thought maybe it was written by Robin before he got his hand in and published under her name to get it out there.

thought I would give this a go as the Shell Seekers is my all time favourite book. This one passed a few hours but thought was a hurried story towards the end
