5.0 out of 5 stars Creep at its best! 18 May 2014
By Laura Eno - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
As soon as I saw this book I downloaded and inhaled it. I’ve always wanted to live on a big space station or roam the stars. Now, I’m thinking of a nice little cave in the back of beyond. J Edward Neill spins a frightening tale, causing you to shiver from the start with the foreboding passage:
“Someday you’ll see the stars even closer,” Mom used to say to me. I wish she had been wrong.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wow 1 Aug. 2015
By Author J.L.Clayton - Published on Amazon.com

So I read The Sleepers. Here is my thoughts on the book: Wow. The feeling I got when I read this short story was a mixture between Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Twilight Zone.... It's that creepy. I could see the story being on the big screen, that's how much I believe it fits in that type of mold. After reading some books from a couple of male authors that I didn't like, I stopped reading books written by that gender. Yet, I am beginning to think I was jumping the gun and basically basing my opinion on the wrong thing. Out of all the short story's I have read by author J Edward Neill, this one had to be the saddest. Ugh, talk about a tearjerker! Good thing this was a short story and author Neill didn't drag out Jonathan's misery. However, you feel the pain (even though it's brief) of what Jonathan was feeling. Author J is a brilliant writer, he brings you into his story's. He will mesmerize and creep his readers out at the same time. In my opinion, author J's readers will be ready to start the next book he has out. I know I was. I'm such a big fan of J's writing. J knows how to put words on paper beautifully. Once again you have done an awesome job. 5 🌟
5.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Gem - Highly Recommended 18 April 2016
By Flynn Gray - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
It's the year 4163, and humanity has mastered space exploration across the known universe, collecting samples of alien lifeforms from multitudes of planets and placing them on display in “xeno zoos”. Jonathan plans on following in his parents’ footsteps, journeying through the stars to locate and collect extraterrestrials from distant galaxies. His dreams and preconceived notions are laid to waste however, when disaster strikes.

It's difficult to say more about this gem of a short story without giving too much away. Excellent writing, great world building and characterisation. Highly recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars absolutely amazing 3 Jan. 2015

J hits it again.
His writing has such elegance to it. His ability to transport you to other realms within your mind is a skill not many can achieve with just a short story. Though it may have been short, I feel like I had just read a novel of grand proportions. Twists and turns leave you on the edge of your seat and second guessing yourself throughout. I would read this thrice over and still be amazed. Great book!
5.0 out of 5 stars A darkness beyond that of deep space 23 Nov. 2015
By JJ - Published on Amazon.com

The Sleepers is more than a short story. It's a celestial journey, guiding readers through a darkness beyond that of deep space. J Edward Neill paints beautiful imaginary through words, turning stars into balletic dancers one minute and physically making your stomach drop the next. I highly recommend taking the ride.

Oh, and what does WTC stand for? Something good, I promise.
