A quick read with snippets of information without going into great detail. A lot of it is common sense and most of it you will already know but there's no harm to be reminded of it. I can recognise the bad habits I have developed and will prove a killer to break.

The book doesn't really give any recommendations on how to be productive or how to remain focused other than you need 8 hours of sleep.

No doubt, quality sleep is so important but you're going to need more (combination of skills, tools, cunning, and on it goes) to 'Get the Edge'. This is why I have ranked it four out of five.

2.0 out of 5 stars Slept right through it 12 July 2014
By Sourabh Chakraborty - Published on Amazon.com

I will say the topic is useful and the information is all right, but it's nothing very new or informative. It would have been nice to get into the science of sleep instead of merely being engrained with making sure we do our best to get our 8 hours. The "book" just stays on vague general terms and doesn't do much more than an oversized internet article.

Outside of the content itself, this felt more like a Kindle complimentary sampler - although with the glaring typos, I would hardly think that this is the kind of book that the publisher would best want to represent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don’t let the size of this book fool you! 16 July 2014

This a very informative little book, so don’t let the size of fool you! I learned a great many things about sleep that I didn’t know before. But what I really found to be of great value to me personally, was the fact that the book discussed, in detail, various relaxation techniques and strategies that one can begin implementing immediately. Sleep is crucial, we all know it, but few of us act like it. After reading this book, I will make a consistent habit out of setting myself up for the best possible night’s sleep as possible. If you’re experiencing the debilitating side-effects of not getting enough sleep, do get this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Rather helpful guide to sleeping tight. 11 July 2014

We all know how to sleep well...counting of sheep, calming ourselves down, not worrying too much, not drinking too much coffee at night and the rest. But isn't it hard to catch sleep at night? What other factors do you think are out there? Well, this book, simple it may seem, can briefly inform you of those factors that you maybe unaware of. For example, the book tells you a little breathing trick that works like magic to me every single time. It really helps me to get into a comfortable stage, just by breathing like the book says. After reading this book (and others), I also try to catch sleep as early as possible and get up early instead. Sometimes I wake up like 2 or 3 in the morning. However, that is still better than sleeping late at night like 2 or 3 am and trying to get up around 7 or 8 AM is so much harder. Learn about different things that may be preventing you from sleeping tight and stay away from them. A Rather helpful guide to sleeping tight.

I sometimes do find myself unable to get to sleep as my mind is racing. There are some great ideas and solutions in this book. I have tried some of them and they really do work well.
This is a well written and well organized book and the author has done his research.
If you or anyone you know has trouble sleeping, this book has the solution.

Highly recommend
4.0 out of 5 stars Sleep for a better life 12 Jan. 2015

With children we pay a lot of attention to the amount of hours they sleep. But when it comes to adults we seem to minimize the importance of it, as well as the quality of sleep. This book made me open my eyes to the sleep deprivation I was under!
