Sleep Smarter

Sleep well and certainly everything in your life seems to flow harmoniously. Miss a few hours by late nights, and struggle through the day, is hardly creating a desired reality. But what do you do when it doesn't work as planned? You fail to drift off into sweet slumber? Thanks to SLEEP SMARTER, I've scheduled sleep back into my life with more prominence, and feel like a million dollars from it. My whole body feels balanced and happier. As I commenced Stevenson's book, I learnt new thoughts on hormones. I had studied such for different reasons, so learning about Circadian cycles, cortisol and melatonin helped me know to maximise daylight and allow myself to unwind before bedtime. Knowing about the reward cycle of dopamine and technology will break yet another of my unhealthy tech habits at night.

Real practical tips truly help you begin implementing the ideas immediately, including getting outside in sunlight between 6.30am and 8.30am. Try turning off devices 90 mins prior to sleep to allow cortisol and melatonin to rebalance.

Next chapter we learn more on Caffeine, such as it fitting into receptor sites like adenosine does, except adenosine helps you relax. It also affects your nervous system and endocrine system, and narrows your blood vessels. Giving up caffeine can cause headaches via sudden widening of blood vessels.

Keeping the room temperature optimal is another secret. Maybe even sleep on a cooling pad (see book bonus link for where to buy).

Timing is very important to heed, sleeping between 10pm and 2am, for HGH, the youth hormone, for regenerative sleep. This increases internal metabolic energy for repair, protecting the DNA from damage and aiding the brain through antioxidant hormones.

This book is brilliant if you find you have sleep issues or spending most of your day at work trying to keep your eyes open! The tip about timing your sleep is priceless and instantly improved how I felt the day after. I listen to his podcasts and his advice is essential and has been prevalent in making me feel amazing! I just love this book.

I didn't read anything else before about sleeping smarter so it's normal that i got impressed by the knowledge and tips that this book has given me.

Although am pretty sure the info in this book are all out there already on the internet if someone searches for them but wasting your time is not better than spending your money on something that will earn you time. Cause time is money, it's even more worth than money are.

So i suggest that you buy this book if you know nothing or little about sleeping smarter. For those who already know more then it's your choice, you might learn something you didn't know or you missed or you can even add something to it by spreading what you know out there.

The details matter a lot. So if you are an athlete or just someone with sleep problems then this book is for you for sure. If you are a healthy person then again it's worth knowing more about adding something that might improve even more your health.

I can't recommend this book enough.

There are also included the resources and scientific articles at the end of the book for those interested in these aspects.
