We all know the oft-told film maxim... the sequel is never as good as the original. When it comes to The Marketplace Series, I find it difficult to agree or disagree with this statement. Robin is a fascinating character; the medium through which Antoniou conveys the psychology behind BDSM, from humble beginnings in the realms of fantasy and phone domination through to the real life situation she now finds herself in. That said, she pales somewhat in comparison to the series' most enigmatic character - Chris Parker. We see him in a different light to the first book; he is more personal and close than the somewhat distant managerial role he plays in the House which is the staging for book One. Once more we have a wonderful piece of erotic fiction and Antoniou's style is unmistakeable. The following books in this series are better, but that doesn't make this particular book bad. It's still the peak of erotic fiction around today and if you haven't got into the books yet, I would advise you to really give them a go. They're not your common or garden porn. If all you are looking for is a quick thrill (no bad thing, but still...) then this series probably isn't for you. It's entertaining, sexy, intelligent and educational. Brava, Ms. Adamson!

Great follow on from the first book.

Chris the trainer cannot help himself from working even when he's on holiday away from the marketplace, he finds a women who is a natural slave and puts her through a speedy training to get her ready to be sold to whoever feels they could make use of her!

Rob set out to please as much as possible and lives up to his strict training and is sold, the the tale switched to the interesting transition of being in a new position household and life being a Slave.

the scenes throughout are hot!!! from Rob being ordered to run herself again Chris's leather boots to a mass gay bdsm party at her masters house where she Drags up to black boots while her fellow slaves are F***ed senseless

Looking forward to reading the next!

wow
this realy put you in mind of a bdsm slave and just sounded amazing.
interuptions to the main plot at the start with some background for the character robin, which was a little annoying at points but once it got into the flow thre was no putting the book down!

recomend to anyone who loves reading about power exchange

By A Customer on 14 April 1999
Format: Mass Market Paperback
I liked the other two books in the trilogy better. I found Robin's character bo-ring and was unable to get excited about any of her sex scenes. I felt she was a lackluster character. The Marketplace had much more interesting characters.
