I hate people who write harsh book reviews on here, goodreads or wherever. If I'd have read some of those reviews beforehand, I wouldn't have bought the book and I'd have denied myself a beautiful experience of not being able to put the book down and reading it in 10 hours. Do you people know how much it takes for a person to write a damn book??? Apparently not. And leaving such hateful comments makes me cringe, the only problem here is you... if you consider yourself such a critic that knows soooo much more, why don't you write a book, send it to us, and we'll let ya know what we think? No? Thought not.

Wow words! It wrung me, turned me inside out. Keep tissues handy. Crocodile tears. The pain, the joy, the love all the characters had became mine. In short, one of my all time best reads.

What a book. Stunned, amazed, torn apart it has it all. Life is a chance as Lake knows. Just when she thought it was safe to take a deep breath she has the rug pulled out from underneath her again it twists and turns and you cannot help but keep reading until the very end!

I thought this book was very well written. It was a beautiful story with lovely characters. For all those people who love romance this book has it all. I laughed and cried. Was delighted to hear about the sequel when I finished slammed. I bought the second book immediately. Written through wills eyes I still felt I enjoyed slammed better. Please download it. Wonderful.

I got Slammed as a Kindle daily deal and it's the best 99p I've ever spent! It is aimed at a teenage audience but the story had me turning pages as quick as I could. The story had me laughing and crying, I don't think I've ever read such an emotional rollercoaster. Loved it!

I decided to check out Slammed after enjoying Hopeless and Losing Hope from Colleen Hoover. I didn't enjoy Slammed as much as Hopeless and Losing Hope, but I think it was still a decent read, which kept me gripped.

Slammed is a sweet, romantic story about Will and Lake. Lake meets Will on the first day after moving to another State with her mother and younger brother following the death of her father. There's an instant attraction there, but their connection doesn't seem forced. However, it being New Adult, there are, of course, complications to their relationship. Unfortunately, the complication does mean the romance takes a while to develop, but for me, it didn't affect the story.

Apart from the romantic drama there was family drama that also unfolded. I liked that there was more than one storyline progressing through the book. I thought Lake and her family were brilliant characters. Her brother Kel, and his friend Caulder were cute characters.

I'm not particularly a fan of poetry, but the inclusion of poetry in the book was lovely. I thought it was well-written and incredibly sweet. Colleen Hoover is so talented!
