The war has not gone well. With peace only a memory and the future promising defeat, the sunrunners are facing the greatest test of all...for Skybowl has been abandoned to the enemy and High Prince Pol's wife is held prisoner by their Warlord.

Whilst the entire series is brimming with intrigue, passion and true majesty, this is the book that finally cements Rawn as one of the great writers within the genre.
From the gargantuan cast of players, you will find characters that will infuriate, manipulate and beguile you and the intricate plotlines are resolved with flourish.
In fact, Rawn's spiralling finale is as skilfully wrought as an artful Sunrunner's glorious tapestry of colour.
This book left me breathless, speechless and a quivering heap of despair and delight in equal measure.
If you are looking for a series that will enthrall, captivate and thoroughly engage you, then Rawn's masterful saga will not disappoint.

Kindle but not my iPad. I have in the past, read books and series by both authors and loved them and I'm sure I'll equally
love these as my wife loved them and we have very similar tastes. Just real irritating that they won't load on to my iPad.
Never had that problem in the past or since, just with these to sets. If I'd bought these just for me, I'd be upset but since
my wife read them and enjoyed them, I gave them 4 stars.
Some you're cheering as they die, others you're crying, and with some, you're surprised at your reaction. The characters are real as they struggle to find a way to defeat an enemy that has won nearly every battle. Pol struggles with being High Prince as he starts to understand what his parents tried to tell him, repeatedly. I did want to smack him with how he was with Meiglan, and Sionell, and even Sioned. And... oh, read it.
Start with Dragon Prince and lose yourself in an amazing six-book story of an incredible land.
But Melanie Rawn's 3 Dragon Prince and 3 Dragonstar books were the best yet. The continuation of the story lines and character's personalities throughout the six books was masterful as was her imagination and quality of writing style. I've loved all the series I've mentioned here, but Rawn's work has been the best so far.
