Supreme Sound Tuning
Skullcandy is committed to delivering true, premium audio and their new Supreme Sound tuning gives your favourite music the full range of attacking bass, natural vocals and precision highs. Created by a team of the world's leading acoustic engineers, Supreme Sound is the exclusive audio experience only Skullcandy can deliver. It is engineered to the consumer’s playlist to deliver the best possible tonal balance of bass, vocals and highs.
Bass, Vocals & Highs
These three audio components encompass the entire audio spectrum and are the foundation of the Supreme Sound Experience. Through Supreme Sound, Skullcandy has defined the way bass, vocals and highs should sound in all of their products. Consumer headphones often deliver suppressed ‘muddy’ bass or exaggerated ‘boomy’ bass. ‘Attacking Bass’ packs a sound that is punchy and powerful.
Conventional headphones can sound tinny and hollow like they are being pushed through an AM radio. Supreme Sound creates a warm and smooth listening experience so you can hear every inflection in your favourite songwriter’s lyrics, as if you were standing beside them.
Typical headphones in the market create a harsh or dull sound that can be fatiguing to the ears, however, Skullcandy engineer their headphones to produce clean and spacious highs, not piercing or muted highs like you may have heard in other headphones. Supreme Sound delivers perfect highs for the final element of an amazing audio experience.

The headphones are nice looking and have a media button that will play and pause songs on my Iphone.
The sound quality is good but bear in mind I'm not a sound snob.
I have used these everyday I've had them on the London tube commuting to work and they are fine for what I need.
The ribbon is thin but looks sturdy enough.
For the price if these last me a year I won't complain, I just can't bring myself to buy a pair of 40-70 pound earphones with mixed reviews on durability.
I specifically bought these buds with a mic so I could go hands-free on my phone - I have a Xperia Mini Pro by Sony Ericsson. Sony E. have a different order for the poles on their jacks (the gold rings on the plug), so unfortunately I wasn't able to use the mic, which was initially very disappointing. In order to use the earbuds, you have to tape down the button on the left-bud, and then you can use them as if they didn't have a mic.
3 Stars: There's nothing wrong with the product, but I had no idea that some manufacturers didn't stick to the standard pole arrangement. Would have been nice to have something in the description listing incompatible devices.
My order was shipped quickly by the seller iZilla and packaged securely, and work well with my Sansa Clip Zip, though I've yet to use them with a smartphone to see how that side of their functions works - ask a passing twelve-year old and I'm sure that they could give you the 411 on that vital factoid.
These Skullcandy in-ears do a decent job of playing back information from FLAC files, OGG files and low-bitrate Podcasts. They won't rival audiophile grade headphones for resolution but then they're not meant to.
I'm quite happy with them and I'm a picky so-and-so.

Being an apple user, slightly disappointed the in-wire buttons don't work but you have to buy from apple for that. Great sound quality, lasted a long timePublished 14 months ago by Freya Caudwell
I've always used Skullcandy headphones because of the sound quality and price point. However I returned the original pair I bought because the right ear lost sound. Read morePublished 22 months ago by E. Egere Jr.
