I bought these to use on images to be photocopied so I would not have to rub the pencil out before copying the inked image. Sadly the blue lines DO show up on the copy - this may be because I use a colour copier on B/W mode (with an increased spectrum of recognised light) but many many copiers are of this type nowadays.

What is good about these pencils
The blue line does make it easy to tell where you have not inked.
They ARE very erasable.

It is possible that if you use a proper B/W copier then the lines may not show and you may be able to get rid of them using photoshop. They are worth having as long as you bear in mind the limitations.

I don't know how I've drawn without these for so long- they are soft, easy to erase and if you scan/photocopy your drawings the lines created with them don't show up. If you colour your artwork digitally this makes it easier to get rid of the unwanted lines after they've been cleaned up/inked by hand. A must have for any artist.

Very light colour and very soft leads so they run out quickly and probably aren't for everyone; however as I use them (as a rough "under-sketch" before using a darker sketch) they work perfectly. When I've scanned or photocopied something with inked lines over the top of these, they have shown up on the photocopy/scan as a pale grey - easy to get rid of in photoshop but not that great if you're looking for a straight photocopy.

I bought these to go along with an all in one printer I recently bought and the blue scans more than normal graphite or coloured pencils. Complete waste of money at almost £3 per pencil. I seriously expected more from a brand like Caran d'Ache :(

They're ok, but seem to run down really fast. Can be a little waxy so not great for inking over. Very soft.
