Iwas worried after reading other reviews if I should have ordered a size 5 but glad I did not since size 6 is just right.
The black colour is not so vibrant like my husband's and son's Sketchers which they bought abroad in the East.
My other grey&pink pair of Sketchers feel like I am walking on air & they have support in the arches. They cost me £43 in the East & were a direct recent May 2015 import from the US - made in Cambodia. All Sketchers shoes are either made in China/Cambodia/Vietnam & shipped to US to be distributed worldwide.
This black pair from Cloggs do not have any such import label on the box, so hope they are the original Sketchers brand of USA.
Delivery was very quick and Cloggs have included a prepaid returns label which is thoughtful of them. As well, they have sent me a £10 voucher towards future purchase from them- a good gesture !
I am keeping this black pair and have included a photo of my old grey & pink alongside the new black Sketchers shoes.
For me, the fact that they're washable is a huge bonus and one of their major selling points. I work in the slums in Nairobi and my footwear gets beyond filthy. With these, I can dunk them in a bucket of water and they're good as new. Hence buying a second pair - for whilst the first pair dry out (don't take too long to dry, especially in the sun).
Another reason I bought them is that they have decent grip on the soles. I've walked across extremely slippery mud in them without too much sliding. And they cope very well with real active wear such as scrambling rocks and walking uneven terrain.
Of course, one of the best things about these is how comfortable they are. If you've a long distance to walk then these are perfect as its like walking on a cloud. They're some of the only shoes I've ever had that don't rub anywhere at all.
They seem true to size although it seems some people disagree. I wear a 6 (39) and that's what I bought. They're the perfect size for me because they're tight enough to wear without socks (in Africa) but have enough room for medium weight socks (in a British winter). My first pair I've worn for about a year and they haven't changed size (stretched/shrunk) noticeably at all, even having been washed many times.
As well as remaining true to size, my first pair look almost perfect even after significant use and washing. They had white soles which now have a reddish tint from all the coatings of mud they've had. But the uppers are still like new. My new pair I got black soles so I will see how they look this time next year.
I'd definitely recommend them. Whether you're doing some significant walking on rough terrain or just heading up the road to the shops, these are fantastic.
For footwear that is so comfortable, performs well in difficult conditions, is washable, and has a good lifespan, these really don't seem expensive.
Size wise, in Clark's etc I am a 6 wide, so ordered the 6, and they fit very well. No wearing in, they felt like I was wearing slippers straight away, but in a good way, no sloppiness, they hold my feet well, I can stride out shopping, and would be tempted to run in them if I could. I live with 5 dogs (don't even go there!!!), and thought the hairs would stick to the fabric of the shoe, but they don't, remarkably they seem to be self cleaning (although I wouldn't walk through puddles or mud in them). I'm only sad that in really wet/cold weather the fabric shoes won't be suitable, and I wish I could find them on sale, but to be honest, if you have painful feet, these are so worth it. I would have been so miserable without these shoes, and will continue to buy them.
There are several reviews which state the size comes up far too large. I take a UK 5 in pretty much all shoes (with the exception of sandals where I find a UK 6 a better fit to allow more room) but normally trainers are a 5, max 5.5. I figured as there were no half sizes available, I would order a 5 as using for exercise I wanted to allow for feet swelling and the ability to wear them with socks and given the other reviews I didn't want to over estimate.
So glad I stuck with my shoe size! If I had bought the 4 I don't think the length would have been right. They are a really good fit, very wide at the toes, but I like this as it feels like my feet have room to breathe without the shoe falling off! Also there hasn't been any rubbing so far (although not had them long).
So to sum up, I cannot yet comment on durability but they are EXTREMELY comfortable, very light, bouncy, flexible and when ordering stick to your usual shoe size or if you are in between then perhaps the size smaller. But if all your other shoes are one size then that size should be fine!

The usual classic style and comfort of Skechers Gowalk but I find these rather small for a 6 . They feel rather like a 5.5 which is a bit disappointing. Read morePublished 1 day ago by GetReal

Absolutely the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They haven't needed any wearing in with socks around the house, I just put them on and walked 30 miles over three days. Read morePublished 3 days ago by lizzifish

The colour is good and are really comfortable to walk in. They are also a really good fit for narrow feet and are true to size.Published 4 days ago by Miss Eileen Hinch
