I love hockey / sports romance stories and Jami Davenport is one of the best authors in this genre - so I was delighted when I got a copy of this great story to read. Once again a great new series hits the scene and adds to my must read list.
The story is cleverly plotted, as one protagonist knows all and sees the train crash approaching, but just cannot resist getting on anyway. The heat between the two leads is natural, and develops alongside some interesting threads on women's role in sport too. The future cast list is introduced through the book and I am excited to see how the Sockeyes settle in Seattle.
In Seduced by the Game there is novella 1.5 in the series called Crashing The Boards. I shall be reading this asap - it features Cooper.

Sports romances are not normally at the top of my TBR list but having read the blurb this book appealed to me.
I love Ethan he’s rich, sexy and ruthless all very good leading man qualities but for me I would have loved for him to be a bit more alpha.
Lauren was a sweetie I liked her and engaged with her wanting to be a strong woman in a predominately male world.
Lauren and Ethan have some chemistry but it didn’t smoulder it sort of burned quietly, I’m glad that they ended up together they make a very cute couple.
I’m going to be completely honest and say that although this book is about Lauren and Ethan for me Cooper, Cedric and Brick totally stole the show!!!!
The hockey players totally stood out to me and I’m really hoping that they get their own books as part of the series.
I loved all of the passion for the sport, this author is obviously an Ice Hockey fan and I really enjoyed being absorbed into the world.
I enjoyed this book; it’s a nice easy read with a cute love story 3.5 stars.
When Ethan Parker's dreams come true and he's given the opportunity to purchase the Giants, an established ice hockey team in Florida, he grabs it. Slapped with a gagging order until the end of the season, he goes undercover to discover all he can in preparation of when the reveal is made. A reveal that will involve relocating the team to Seattle. Lauren Schneider, Assistant Director of Personnel, knows her stuff, but fights against the old boys club daily. When Ethan shows he is genuinely interested in her thoughts and opinions, she's blown away and it's not long before she's fighting her own feelings for her charming sexy new boss. Feelings that are mutual.
They had a good chemistry together and when things do get up close and personal it brings some heat. Both appreciate each other's work ethic and strive for the team to be the best, but with Ethan holding back there is the premise of it all blowing up. The story flows well, but I was expecting more heading towards the finish line as it certainly seemed to be heading that way. But with a whole raft of secondary characters - players and personnel, the way has been paved for much more in the series. If an easy read sweet, sexy, sports orientated romance is what you're looking for, then this is that.

I dont normally go for the sporting stories but this was really good. My only gripe was it finished too quick, I wanted to know how they moved on. Worth a read.Published 15 months ago by L beaver
