I have yet to read a bad book this author writes. It is warm, very emotional. Touching on sensitive topics, in enough detail to make an imprint, without feeling physically abused, but realistic enough for the emotional content make the required impact. The plot of abused, abusers, drugs, lies, love, friendship and need are all here, in enough detail to make a memorable impact, without scarring the reader for life. Jude is a fragmented character, but Grace is living the lie, and life of two. Identical twins, rape, and consequences are all aboding in the wonderful novel. There is enough detail without to much graphics on these emotional subjects. However the results have a life long impact on the innocent, who cement both Grace and Jude together. Max. A wonderfully full graphic, emotional story, full of friendship, love, lies and a intrigue, that unfolds and draws the reader in immediately. Friends are also important and belief too. An excellent Novel, by an excellent Author. To good to avoid.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is one of those books that has your heart and mind on a trip of highs and lows, a need for a box of tissues, and a prompt to remind you to eat and hydrate. If you start this at night, do not expect to get any sleep until you have finished, and maybe not even then... There is something to be learned from every book - this one provides lessons in abundance, and I would challenge anyone not to think about their own behaviours after reading it.

Not only is the story well plotted, but the characters are perfect, and the interactions so realistic. I was soon in the midst of everything, my mind working overtime as I got to see more than anyone else, but still needing the threads tied together. It is dark, and sad and difficult, but with patches of bright, clean light and ... hope.

If you like books which make you think, this will certain do that - and deliver you a real treat of a story.

Loved this book!! The issues that were covered were covered very well and had me feeling all the ups and downs throughout.

Loved the twists and turns that were throughout this book too. Two people who should have never have met but yet their stories combined made them a perfect fit somehow... But will their own journeys allow them to be together.....

This is definitely a must read!!!

There are words that can be used to describe that empty feeling that you get when you have been emotionally wrung out, but for the life of me I don’t think I could find them at the minute if I tried. I feel completely devoid of anything remotely resembling normality, I have been emotionally broken by this author and her creativity.
I feel bruised, emotionally beaten to a pulp but happy to have the experience because this is an incredible read.
Addiction in any form is not a subject that can or should be taken lightly and Geneva Lee, leaves you in no doubt about the magnitude of the situation as the story of this book unfolds. Her brutal honesty of the true horror of the situation can only enforce the severity of the situation that is faced by so many on a day to day basis.
I applaud the author for a story that leaves nothing behind in it deliverance of what can only be described as desperate cold truths.
Faith is doing everything she can to make sure that hers on doesn’t have the experiences in life that she did, he suffered the sort of upbringing that doesn’t nurture you but forges a rod of steel through your soul.
But when Jude Mercier appears on her horizon, she has another dilemma to face because this tattooed bad boy may try to sweep her off her feet, but she needs safe anchor, not the storm that she feels he will impact on her life, but keeping clear may not be as easy as she thinks.
Jude is a true force of nature, the sort of man that oozes attitude but is it all a front? Is his tempered exterior nothing more than a shell that hides a less arrogant attitude because when this cocky man finds his groove and lets others see what is on the inside it is far less intimidating that one would think?

***Reviewed on behalf on of Amo’s Book Corner.***

The Sins that Bind Us is a story of addiction and sacrifice. How one person sacrifices her own life for the sake of another!!

I’m not going to go into the story of this book because this book deserves for you to go in blind, which is exactly what I did. This story was told so well, you could live the story, the emotions, the hurt and all the feelings in this book were so deep.

I loved all the characters in this book Jude, Faith/Grace and Amie the bff and the sweet, gorgeous little Max. This a disturbing, dark tale of drug abuse and addiction and how it can rip a family apart and also the after affects it can cause. This book was emotional but I didn’t want to put it down, I needed to know the end. I loved the twists and turns in this book it makes you re-think everything you’ve read and believe me you’ll fall in love with little Max, he’s so adorable.

JUDE: “I’ve always had Faith, but I was saved by Grace!”

This has been a really hard review for me as I didn’t want to give any spoilers away. It’s told in dual pov but there’s also flashbacks from the past which is told in third person. It’s the flashbacks which make you think about the events that take place…. that’s all I’m saying! The author draws you in and doesn’t let go, it’s that good

I can’t believe this is the first book of Geneva Lee that I’ve read… I’ve so been missing out. I will definitely be checking out her other books. This is a must read book and has a massive 5 stars!! Well done Geneva on this amazing book!
