Product description

'The main character, Emma, has suffered agreat tragedy, and I thought this was extremely well illustrated, quiteheart-rending and very real. Quite outstanding, actually - shows real talent. You'll have to read it!' Top 1000 Reviewer

'I loved the themes of lost faith, confidence, trust and redemption in this book as well as the lovely setting in which thestory takes place. There are quite a few moments of suspense and excitement aswell as heart-warming feel good parts that made this a lovely read for me.' Vine Voice Reviewer

'Emma Grayson has suffered far more than anywoman should have to and I immediately liked and sympathized with thecharacter. In actual fact, the author does such a good job of forging aconnection with the character and the reader that I found myself in emotionalturmoil at times.' Book Blogger: Eat Sleep Read Review

'Georgia Rose has a free-flowing writingstyle and I particularly liked the alliterative phrase: 'men chase and womenchoose'. The descriptive passages were well-constructed, building a believablebackdrop. Rose demonstrates an admirable understanding of equine husbandry andhas clearly carried out a significant amount of background research to anchorher tale in factual accuracy in other areas.' Book Blogger: Whispering Stories - Top 500Reviewer

'This novel is a cracking read and a wellwritten story. I loved the sound of Emma's job on the Melton Estate and theworking conditions sound idyllic except for Trent, of course! I liked thejourney Emma went on emotionally as she went from totally closed off to findingherself contemplating trusting others again. This one is a page turner andthoroughly recommended!' Book Blogger: Bodicia

'The story is filled with detail, especiallyabout how to look after horses which for me was not especially interesting butthe well-crafted plot, strong characterisation and thrilling denouement madethis book an excellent read.' Book Blogger: Lost in a Book

'Well written and entertaining, I enjoyed thestoryline and look forward to following on with the series.' Book Blogger: Between the Lines

'There's no cliff hanger soI don't know what to expect in the next book in the series, but I'm intriguedenough to add it to my TBR list.' Book Blogger: Roses are Amber

About the Author

'A Single Step' is my first novel, and is the first book in The Grayson Trilogy. It will eventually be joined by 'Before the Dawn' and finally by 'Thicker than Water'. The titles I can manage in the time I have available at the moment, the content is proving to be a little more tricky! I love the countryside, I walk our dogs and ride horses when possible, though that hasn't been much recently as I'm currently lacking the essential ingredient of having access to a horse! Isolation appeals so the more remote the better. I struggle with towns, cities being particularly problematic, tall buildings, crowded streets, strangely claustrophobic. I enjoy writing (that's probably obvious), rewriting and editing (which is just as well), then reading a bit - quite a bit (thrillers, crime that sort of thing) before more writing and occasionally, when taking a break from writing, I get to watch a film, sometimes even making it as far as the cinema!
