Karen was a client of Alliance before they asked her to become a partner. She still wants to get a contracted marriage of convenience though. So when Gwen said she found her the perfect guy she agrees to meet him and see. He just happens to be a very famous movie star. Karen and Michael have been married for a year now and their time to end their marriage will be soon. As they are celebrating their one year anniversary Michaels brother crashes the party.

Zach had to come to his brothers party. He had to find out what his brothers wife was like and why his brother never introduced her to the family. Michael never told his family his secret. After Zach see's Karen he is hit with an instant attraction and is finding it hard to fight it. Karen talks Michael into them going to his home town to meet and visit with his family. There her and Zach end up alone a lot. But there is something going on with one of the kids in that town and Karen will not rest until she helps her.

What will happen when a scorned ex decides to get revenge?

My opinion: I am so in love with this series. Catherine sucked me in again! I think this one was one of my favorites in the series so far. Karen and Zach's love was a forbidden love. Your not supposed to fall in love with your husbands brother! I think that Karen and Zach were so cute together and the whole Gardner family ended up being great. Even the dad, you have to read it to figure out what that means. The meanings of certain situations just go to show that you should always trust those that you love to still love you no matter what. This book is a wonderful addition to a great series. I read the first 4 books in 3 days as I only put the books down out of necessity. I highly recommend reading. I am eager to read the next book for Judy and Rick's story!

Book 4 in the series and this time we focus on Karen who we've met previously. This story picks up with Karen and Michael coming to the end of their marriage agreement that has been going smoothly until Michaels brother turns up to find out why any of Michaels family members haven't met his wife.

Karen and Michael then embark on a family vacation however the attraction between Karen and Zach (Michaels brother) is undeniable. This is their story as the two feel fate has brought them together yet nothing can happen whilst Karen keeps Michaels secret and remains his wife.

Another great read that keeps you turning pages, loved catching up with the characters from previous 3 books and a lovely HEA. An enjoyable series.

Love this series, how each story has his own storyline, but the characters all inter mingle between all the story!

We catch up with Karen and Michael at their first year anniversary party, with things moving along fairly easily in their fake marriage. Both doing enough to keep to keep the paparazzi at bay. That is until Michael's brother Zach turns up to see if the psps had it right, and that he really was married. He met Karen and almost immediately your felt the attraction between them both. Its sizzling!

Zach has news that his parents are not happy about being kept away from meeting their daughter in law, and convinces Michael and Karen to visit the family. They spend some quality time with their family, with some family members thinking things were not all right! At a family dinner Michael begins to feel threatened does something completely out of character. This causes a rift to begin in their facade!

Karen and Michael go along to the family's cabin in the mountains, Its here that Michael sister, makes the connection, and confronts them both separately, causing Michael to get back to filming his next film. Karen also didn't expect to find herself being attracted to Michael's brother!

Whilst in Utah visiting Michael's family, Karen meets a young girl who appears to be hiding something, having worked around troubled teenagers she began to recognize the signs. She is the friend of Michael's younger sisters and soon works out whats troubling the youngster.

Once Michael makes the decision to head back to LA for filming, they get word about the young girl going missing, so Karen stays behind to try and help the youngster.

As always Bybee has written such a good story. Even if all her books have a similar theme the story is always different and has a slightly different twist to the others in the series. I cannot wait to read the next one and find out whose story we will be following. My guess Judy and Rick.

Karen and Michael have entered into a marriage of convenience in order to hide his sexual orientation from his adoring fans. As one of the premier film stars who specialises in romantic leads it would be detrimental to his career for his public to realise that he is gay. Intending to divorce quietly and for Karen to be given a gift of money to achieve her life's dream all is going well until Michael's brother Zach gatecrashes his latest party and persuades the couple to visit Michael's family in their small town life. They have to hide Michael's situation and pretend to be a devoted couple in the face of family interrogation and a developing attraction between Zach and Karen.

The best thing about this book is that everyone is very sensible and no one (at least virtually no one) is horrible. This gives the author the opportunity to develop a very interesting scenario for her characters who are all trying to do the right thing and not to hurt anyone. Their situation is intriguing and the author surrounds it with sub-plots about Michael's family and Karen's background as well as a story about a local young couple who are helped out by Zach and Karen. I was gripped by the novel, thought that the situation was interesting, and enjoyed the easy to read style in which the book is written.

I did think that the drama near the end of the book could have done with a bit more time and development, as some of it felt a bit rushed - I would have liked to know what the papers said and I thought that Michael's family's reactions to the big revelation about their marriage could have been dwelt on in more detail.
