Like all of the entries in the popular 'Simpsons Classics DVD series, 'Crime and Punishment' was originally released as a VHS, which is the reason why the disc only contains four episodes. For a few extra pounds, you can now purchase one of the boxsets.

As the title would suggest already, 'Crime and Punishment' contains four crime-themed episodes of the show: 'Marge in Chains' (season 4, 1993), 'Homer the Vigilante' (season 5, 1994), 'Bart the Fink' (season 7, 1996), and the fan favourite 'You Only Move Twice' (season 8, 1996), which ends out with possibly the most catchy 'Simpsons' song of all time as the credits roll. I love each and everyone of these beautifully scripted episodes, and can watch them over and over, without ever tiring.

The first film sees Marge being sent down to prison after being convicted for shoplifting at Apu's Kwik-E-Mart, and the characters she meets inside are wonderful. The second finds Homer trying to track down a cat-burglar who is terrorising Springfield, and the culprit is a great character who I would ever much like to see pop up again. The third episode stars Krusty the Clown, whose biggest fan Bart sends to jail, and in the final, fans are introduced to the loveable, but extremely dangerous criminal mastermind Hank Scorpio, who plans to take over the world.

This compilation offers countless laughs with The Simpsons at their peak, and at a budget price. As with most of the entries in this red jacketed series, the DVD contains subtitles, but no extra features.

The Simpsons crime and punishment is defiantly one of the best Simpson videos!
It contains four classic absolute hilarious episodes, although I've seen them many times, but I can never get over the true comedy of each of them!
All the episodes, characters, and jokes are great, the plot is excellent, and the video is A masterpiece!
The episodes on this video are some of the best, and are my personal favourites: the episodes are Marge in chains, Homer the vigilante, you only move twice and Bart the fink!
The best episode is Homer the vigilante, but all the episodes are still fantastic.
In Marge in chains, Marge is court shoplifting and sent to prison for A while, but havoc occurs in Springfield, and Homer has to look after the house. The best parts is when, at the beginning of Marge in Chains, when A dangerous flu disease is transported over to Springfield- that was funny, or when Homer and the kids end up having to look after the house.
In Homer the vigilante, A mysterious cat burglar is robbing Springfield, and Homer decides to form A vigilante group, including Moe, Barney, Skinner and Apu, to catch the Burglar, but everything goes wrong when the burglar steals the world's largest diamond! The best parts is when Homer and the vigilantes are trying to clean up the town, or when they on A race to find the burglar's hidden treasure!
In You only move twice, Homer gets A new job in Cycrus Creek, where the Simpsons live in their new town, but everything turns wrong when Homer is working for A super villain named Hank Scorpio. The best parts are when Hank Scorpio is trying to kill James Bont, or when the government are attacking in Scorpio's nuclear plant.
In Bart the fink, Bart accidentally makes Krusty the biggest tax fraud in history, and Krusty goes to prison.

This is yet another random collection of excellent Simpsons episodes - I've bought a few of these now and I'm beginning to wish I could buy box-sets of each of the Simpsons seasons instead! The theme this time is expressed succinctly in the title: the four episodes ("Marge in Chains" "Homer the Vigilante", "You Only Move Twice" and "Bart the Fink") all relate to crime and the law. Marge is 'in chains' because she accidentally shoplifts Apu's Kwik-E-Mart; Homer is forced to act as a 'vigilante' when he takes on an anonymous Springfield cat-burglar (actually voiced by Sam Neill!). 'You Only Move Twice' is the story of the Simpsons moving (temporarily, of course) out of their home town of Springfield and into an idyllic community which is not all it seems, and in 'Bart the Fink' the oldest Simpsons child accidentally grasses up Krusty to the IRS for tax fraud. The last episode is very funny - the IRS takes over Krusty Burger and turns it into IRS Burger - Homer orders lunch there: "Let's see - I'll have four tax-burgers, one IRS-wich, withhold the lettuce, four dependent-sized sodas and a FICA-ccino" and is told by his server: "Fill out Schedule B - you should receive your burgers within six to eight weeks" - !

This video "Simpsons Crime And Punishment" ,there are four episodes including"Marge In Chains"from season 4,"Homer The Vigilante from season 5,"You Only Move Twice"and "Bart The Fink". This video contains two great episodes "Marge In Chains"where Marge gets arrested for shoplifting. The other classic episode is "Homer The Vigilante"where Homeer tries to stop the Springfield Cat Burgular from robbing from anyone else.Apart from those two episodes,"You Only Move Twice"and "Bart The Fink" weren't up to scratch compared to other Simpsons episodes.I still gave it 4 out of 5 though because of the other two episodes which were a couple of the best.
