Yuko grew up in Japan watching her mother and grandmother prepare food at home. Original, fun, nutritious recipes

This is a beautiful book!

I've heard of bento and knew the concept, but that was the extent of my knowledge.
The authors explain all the basics in a clear manner and with beautiful photographs to illustrate each recipe. Then they go beyond that with chapters such as "vegan bento", "15-minute bento" or "celebratory bento", which I all found very interesting. I also appreciate being told how look it is going to take to prepare and cook something, which they do.

For lots of people, lunch can be a bit of a nighmare thinking about what to cook and pack if you need a packed lunch. Personally, I get bored of eating the same stuff all the time. For those in the same situation, I'd really recommend "Simply Bento" as you'll get original, nutritious recipes designed to be a packed lunch, with a range of cooking time or difficulty.
