- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 February 2012Very good deal. Well worth it! Had one or two which leaked all over the place so chucked them straight in the bin - when they work out at something like 70p a piece 1) it doesn't matter and 2) rather that than mess up my printer!
As an earlier review stated: equally as good as canon OEM inks, at least to my eye, as a photographer.
Work nicely with my favorite photo paper too, Tesco Finest A4 (thick stock, good quality, no branding on the back, cheap.)
Thanks whoever you are supplying these!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 April 2013I have been buying original ink for my canon 640 printer until now, but decided to try these by silver trade. I am quite satisfied with the results, even though it is not the same as the original ones( when you print pictures) but considering the amount you save it is negligible. Exceptional value for money, as there are four sets in a box. I think these inks are going to last for ever. Can not state that " I'am never going to buy the original ones ever " for who knows Canon might come to there senses and lower their price.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 June 2012These inks function very well in my Canon "all in one". I cannot detect any difference in the prints (high quality A4 photographs to multi-page booklets) from the original inks. I suppose a pro photographer might have the ability to detect some differences but for the average user these represent exceptional value for money. There may be slightly cheaper inks for sale but for quality/price these will take some beating.Rapid delivery from Germany too.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2013I have previously used cartridges from First Call Inks for our Canon ip3600 printers and I have been totally satisfied with their quality. I have been unable to detect any difference in the prints they produced and those made with the original Canon cartridges.
These cartridges from Silver Trade GmbH, however, do not even come close to matching the Canon colours. I had hoped that buying in a larger quantity would save me money. But they have been a complete waste of money, time and expensive printing paper. How they have generated so many five star reviews I don't understand. Avoid them. They don't even warrant one star but the review will not accept a zero. I have just placed an order for more cartridges from First Call Inks which I know I can rely on to give me quality prints.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2013Colours are OK but not all the cartridges were recognised by my printer. Had to take the chip of some old ones to make them work and of course it keeps telling me those ones are empty. Also very runny ink - ruined a pair of cream trousers when taking the orange protection cover off at it splashed.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2013excellent colour at a very good price need to be used fairly quickly after purchase before they have a chance to dry out
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2014I bought a 20 pack of these inks in September 2013. More than 12 months on and they are still going strong.
I don't do much printing but when I do it has to be perfect and these have been just that. Combined with Canons Photo Paper they have produced spectacular results, so good in fact a photographer friend switch to these from Canon originals when she saw my prints.
One thing I was worried about was the inks ageing and clogging up over time so when I put them in the machine it would gunk it up and ruin a print at the wrong moment but having been living under my bed most of the time, ie room temperature, they have not degraded in any way, nor show any signs of doing so.
Other little perks are that since the cartridges are clear you can see if the printer is lying when it reckons it has run out of ink. None of this built in obsolescence bull which is notorious on printer cartridges.
Overall these have been an very worthwhile buy, and have easily paid for themselves in reliability and longevity.
Highly rated! Highly Recommended!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2012Bought these inks nearly a year ago and still going strong. Will definitely purchase again. To be honest I would have liked to buy the orignal Canon inks but at £53 for just 5 inks it is not something I will be doing. I have been printing colour photos on good quality A4 photo paper and the results are simply stunning. I had just one problem in the last year and the printer didn't like one of the large black inks for some reason. But simply put in another one and all fine no other failures whatsoever. Recommended.
